Everyone was happy, chattering as we ate. But along the line, something terrible happened. Zoe started coughing midway into her food. I at first thought she had choked because she rushed her food. I gave her water thinking it would suppress the cough, but it only intensified it. In the blink of an eye, she began to cough out blood, with her wincing in pain as she held her tummy. But she wasn’t the only one feeling that pain. John and Granny were also in the same condition. Realizing how terrible their condition was, they were all rushed to the hospital. But a few minutes after arriving at the hospital, they were all pronounced dead.

My stomach spoke before my mind did, I turned to the side and vomited all over the ground. I was on my hands and knees, emptying my stomach when gentle hands gripped hold of my hips. My hair was pulled from my face and a hand moved from my hip to rub a soothing circle on my back. Once I stopped heaving, a cloth was pushed to my face so that I could wipe my mouth. I took the cloth and cleaned off the corners of my mouth. I looked back at Zoe’s dead body and stared blankly into her barren eyes. I should feel something. Sad, scared, repulsed. Something. But I feel nothing when I look at her. She wanted me gone, she tried to kill me. And now she is the one that’s gone. I feel nothing.

Why can’t she stop all this madness? We arrive at the pack some minutes later, the destruction that Maeve has already caused in the space of a few hours is quite remarkable. Zane is kneeling at a corner with his head down, a body is lying beside him lifelessly. “Zane,” I mutter weakly. He turns to look at me, I gasp when I see Eleanor lying lifeless beside him. The tragic scene brings me to my knees, and Zane rushes to me. “Cora, are you okay?” he asks.

Just then, Zeus stepped into the scene and the atmosphere went a few degrees hotter. "What is going on here?" He asked when he saw the lifeless lady on the floor. "She's dead." June announced in a pained tone. "She killed her." Tara pointed an accusing finger. "Zoey made lunch and invited us all to eat. Candice started eating and by the time I came here she was rolling on the floor. She died soon after." Zoey fell to her knees. "I swear! I swear I didn't kill her! I was only trying to-"

The driver then ran over her, sealing her fate. Hazel’s body sprawled lifelessly across the ground in a pool of blood. Even though there was no trace of life left in her eyes, there was a haunting shock and fear in them, frozen in time, as they stared right back at Chloe. The scene was horrifying. Chloe's whole body stiffened, her throat felt raw, and she struggled to take steps forward to inspect the situation. However, the arriving traffic police stopped her, disallowing any bystanders to approach. After a quick judgment, it was evident that Hazel had died on the spot.

She looks up finding him watching her, he never took off his gaze he then gave her a smile. Yet she never returns his smile not when a rogue lying on the ground crept on her from the back and plunge a knife at her. Kyle screams moving towards her in speed, she fell on her knees. The rogue raise his claws to finish her when Lawrence got on time killing the rogue the last of them. Kyle crouch on the ground taking her body in to his arms "Zoe, look at me" he cries "please Zoe, don't die on me" she cough up blood gazing up in to his eyes her lips turning in to a smile. The brightest smile he ever saw.

"Zoe will receive—" Before he could continue, a sharp scream cut through the room. "Ahh!" Everyone turned toward the source. Zoe had collapsed to the floor. A shocking pool of blood spread beneath her. Her dress was stained crimson, her face turned pale, and her meticulously styled hair clung to her sweat-soaked skin. "H-Help me." Zoe weakly reached out with a vacant look in her eyes. Her lipstick-stained lips trembled. "M-My baby." She had fought so hard, but she hadn't made it to the end.

You'll now receive your verdict: You must die! Zoe stiffened upon hearing this, and her throat tightened as she felt the chilling, impending death. She let out an instinctive scream, "No... Alexander, you can't—" With a sharp swish, a cold gleam passed through the hotel's grand lobby. Blood splattered as a head rolled across the floor. Zoe never managed to finish her final words before Maxine beheaded her.

Zoe almost cackled as she helped haul him to the platform. I looked back to Darren, still seeing Cardinal’s bright eyes in control. I smirked and pulled my hoodie off, handing it to him. “Be a doll and hold that, Cardinal.” I winked. And there’s Darren. I knew he was regaining control based on the nonplussed expression at my flirting. As I got on the stage, there was a round of applause. It seems people were excited to see Clement die. Though I don’t plan to kill him, just hospitalize him.

I pretended not to hear him and focused on breathing evenly, as if asleep. He laughed softly and adjusted the wide straw hat over my face. “Chloe,” Don Shaw said quietly, “you can’t keep running forever.” The courtyard fell silent again. Only the wind. Only the distant hush of water beyond the cliffs. Just as sleep began to pull me under, his voice came again—calm, almost casual. “I just received word. Zane Carter may have discovered the staged death.”
