She read slowly, then smiled slightly—an eerie smile that was more terrifying than anger.
“Finally, they’ve taken the bait...” she whispered.
In front of her, a subordinate knelt respectfully.
“Mr. Yuzinkhov has stated he is ready to cooperate, Miss Hideko,” the man reported. “On the condition... blood must be spilled before the month changes.”
Hideko exhaled cigarette smoke, her eyes gleaming sharply like a razor.
“Good,” she said lightly. “Then... let’s arrange a little blood rain at Edgar Kingston’s birthday party.”
