"There. Come on, Ryan. I'm taking you to the zoo!" By the seventh day after my death, the perfume and curtain could no longer hide the smell of my decaying body. Mom frowned as she climbed the stairs, gagging again and again until she finally put on a mask. The snacks and blanket outside the attic door hadn't been touched. Maybe because my parents' demands were so relentless over the years, mentioning them didn't stir much of my emotions. Chad's palms grew sweaty. After a long pause, he said, "Did I? I don't recall."

The decision weighed heavily on him. "Grandma, go eat something," Mia said. "I want to talk to my grandfather for a while." Mrs. Brown approached her husband and kissed him goodbye, knowing it might be the last time. The kiss caused the man to open his eyes as if he wanted to see the face of his life partner. "I haven't taught them to live without me yet," Arturo said with a broken voice, looking at the two women he loved most in his life. "It was long enough to love you," Mrs. Brown replied, her voice shaking.

I know in my heart this will be a day that will be remembered many, many years from now, and inside myself, I say my last goodbye to my mom. “You left us all too early, but even though it has been years, I know you have watched and seen, how well Dad took care of us. I know in my heart that he will join you soon, and that is okay because you have waited patiently. And now he can finally meet you and tell you that we avenged you. I Love you, Mom.” - KLAUS

He chuckled and kept quiet, and I finally stepped away and walked to my mother. I sighed once I got there, it felt like it had been forever since we last saw each other. The circumstances changed dramatically, and the last time I visited her it was the day I met Caleb. I sat on the grass at her side, smiling as I looked at her picture in a capsule inside the stone. "Hi mom... it has been a while..." I began, and I started chuckling at myself. "I have so much to tell you."

There was a folder and one video named To Matt. When I opened it, the video centered on my mother. I couldn’t breathe. She looked just as old as she did when she was sent to the mental institution. Her clear blue eyes looked at me through the screen and my heart tightened. Why hadn’t there been a message for Joel too? Had Mordecai deleted it?
