They moved to the center of the ice. The rink was dark except for the emergency lights and the glow from Elara’s phone. “We can’t use the big speakers, but I’ll use my phone and skate around you while you perform,” Elara said, queuing up the music.
“Alright. Let’s do this,” Elias replied, breathing heavily. The flashback of the fall hit him suddenly, the timing off, the twist, the impact. He stumbled back a step.
