Love From Hell

Love From Hell

Jack replied nervously. Sasha sensed his unease and wondered what he was hiding. Was the loan shark at Tempa harassing him? Tempa was the ghetto of their city, filled with gangsters, drug dealers, and pimps. There were rumors of a drug ring mafia led by a fearless and wicked leader nicknamed "Hades," believed to be from one of the elite families.

SOUGHT-AFTER PEACE

SOUGHT-AFTER PEACE

The smell increased more to his disdain, like two - months soaked clothes or a maggot - infested leftovers. "Could it be our semi-toilet closet? " he thought to himself. If he were to see an apartment with cheap rate, he would venture into leaving the slum but for houses being affordable in ghettos except if life has blessed one with much. And the ghetto houses was one popular area known to all. If there's no leaking roof with buckets lined up in one's tiny living room or tiny droplets of rainwater dropping on one's head as one hurries with a bucket, then it will be the full-loaded pit with a repugnant stench occupying the entire surroundings.

Nine Ungrateful Sisters

Nine Ungrateful Sisters

"There's no bus stop around here," Oscar said, scanning the road. "It's only two miles," Rebecca replied lightly. "That's close." Oscar frowned. 'A girl her age, walking alone out of a place like this?' The Percham District, the city's shantytown, housed more than the poor. It drew drifters, loafers, and men with nowhere else to go. As if reading his thoughts, George sighed. "Helena and I have to get to work early. If we're late, there's nothing left to pick."

Mafia's Marriage Contract

Mafia's Marriage Contract

An Ub*r car stops in front of the gate and Elle gets into it. Scarlett instantly starts her car and slowly follows Elle. The Ub*r is heading for 98th street which is surprising. This place is one of the rundown areas where people live in slums and ghettos. Several buildings are stacked together and a strong stench of cigar and garbage is lingering in the air. The roads are narrow and the walls are stained with graffiti. Scarlett tails Elle’s car to the heart of the ghetto, frowning. Elle stops the car and gets out of it. She takes a deep breath and steps into a dark alley. Behind her, Scarlett also stops the car to peer at her from afar.

I usually don’t read mafia type stories but I thought I’d give this a go since I love the writers fantasy books. This book has a very interesting twist on the Cinderella story. It’s intriguing and it leaves you wanting more! Can’t wait to see how it plays out!

NINE MONTH WITH MY STEPBROTHER

NINE MONTH WITH MY STEPBROTHER

Dravilsberg is a small country on its own, having just ten states and seventy-eight cities and I live in the parts of the city called ghetto. You see, each city in every state is classified under three classes. We have the slum, ghetto and upscale. The slum is where poverty-stricken people live. People like me who can afford to get some kinds of stuff themselves live in the ghetto and you know those who live in the upscale part of the city. The rich ones. Taking one last bend onto Cavern Street, weird name, right? I pull up in the garage of my parent’s little villa and stepped out of the car. Delivering two rapid knocks on the door, it swings open to reveal my mom’s smiling face.

Alpha's Wolf Less Mate

Alpha's Wolf Less Mate

The ghetto area was famous for robbing and killing and even sometimes, rape and my father in his days had tried to reunite the ghetto with us but it seemed like they enjoyed wallowing in their deep misery. Well, it was a good thing that they hadn't agreed, a good thing that they had stayed true to their ghetto hood. I drove down the town. The ghetto was characterized by dirty areas and shabby looking people and lots of prostitutes hovered around in the corners, calling out to their male customers to patronize them. Sometimes, I forgot that there was a place like this in our pack. I had forgotten how large our pack could be.

Tattooed Luna

Tattooed Luna

Couldn’t risk getting caught by running right behind him or even beside the tree line. There was a small little …. I wouldn’t say town but community that is rarely visited by police. Humans might call this the ghetto but this was much worse. Here is where you will find the fight clubs, underground human trafficking and just basic drug locations. There is one bar that all of them come together and live in harmony. It is an unwritten rule that if you make trouble here, you die. Simple as that. Business is conducted here and the bar gets a cut. No one knows the actual owner but rumor is, everyone who has tried to find out, is now dead.

I have been in absolutely in love with this book since the beginning. I have enjoyed how the story has continued to develop beyond the siblings and their mates, but to another level of complexity within the familial ties. Amazing writing, well developed characters, not your typical werewolf story.

Could not put this book down on the first read. I am now reading all three a second time. Love the story line. Kris and Alec are badass characters and love their chemistry. Would love another book with the original characters, but maybe some chapters with POV from Jacob and Sherry or Emmy and Jasper

Resisting The Alpha Cowboy

Resisting The Alpha Cowboy

Hey, muse squad! You know me—always chasing the story, stirring the pot, and spilling the tea. Well, this time, I’ve traded the hustle and bustle of the big city for the charm (and dust) of a tiny town in South Texas called Dusty Creek. 🌵 Why, you ask? Because even in a place where tumbleweeds outnumber traffic lights, there’s a story worth telling. From its quirky locals to its hidden secrets, I’ll be uncovering what makes Dusty Creek tick—and trust me, it’s not just the fried everything at the county fair.

Euphoria

Euphoria

Contrary to how tough he usually is, Vernon looked rather tense as we trailed around some isolated neighborhood. It was a slum area in the outskirts of town inhabited with some frail old establishments. Some part of it, if not a harbor for illegal businesses, was abandoned. The narrow streets were decorated with vandalized walls, dumps, and homeless, impoverished people. Some even looked like criminals as much as I hated to judge. Vernon cleared his throat when we passed by what appeared to me, a group of gangsters. Their gazes traversed across my body like I'm some patron saint being paraded.

I'm so inlove with this book. It's like a work of art. I'm inlove with the way you put up words and the story is also so unique--not the typical teen romance drama. I'm looking forward to what happens next??
