I heard shoving, pushing, and Groban growls the words fuck you, but then I felt a pain strike me with a thud inside my stomach, groaning I fell to my knees as I wrapped my arms around myself. I gasped because the pain was just too severe, I would say that I’ve always felt when Groban got hurt but it would be a mild little pain. But this was excruciating, I felt another pain shoot through me, and Groban grunt and gurgle in his own blood, I screamed out as the tears carried on falling. Jake was instantly by my side as he grabbed hold of me, trying to see where my pain was coming from. But he didn’t understand, he couldn’t, he was human and had never had a mate.

I stood outside the door for two hours. Blisters burst and formed on my body continuously until they stuck to my clothes. Every breath I took hurt. My parents finally came back. We both look with shocked expressions as Dylan strides towards us and stops right in front of Jake, looking him dead in the eye as they hold contact, neither of them wavering, like two dogs ready for a brutal fight. The pain all over my body causes me to whimper as I try to say something. "Babe", Dylan crouches down to look at me and his eyes turn dark the moment he sees the holes in my body from the spikes, the bruise on my face from the slap and the brutal assault on my thigh.
