Chapter 1 Jade stepped out of her sleek black sedan, the engine purring to a stop in the driveway of the suburban mansion. The night air was thick with the scent of freshly cut grass and distant barbecue smoke, a far cry from the neon-lit clubs she usually worked. She paused for a long moment beside the car. At 25, with her long raven hair cascading down her back in loose waves that caught the faint glow of the porch lights, emerald eyes that sparkled under streetlights like polished gems, and a body honed from years of pole dancing—curves that could make a man forget his vows—she knew she was the perfect hire for a bachelor party.

She smiled. “You’re lying!” Finrod exclaimed. “Believe whatever you want!” She said. “But I know Inwë can remember it.” Ellaine tried hard to remember. That explains why she dreamed about the Tranjie and Shasta. Her parents never forgot her! Now she knew the explanation why she ended up in Lenriad. But if the Dark Child was the daughter of Estelel to Jilroid and she was her daughter to that means the Dark Child is her sister and Margarette was her aunt.

She gasped moving away to look at my face with ragged breaths. "You asked me to let you know when... You know.” I explained with fear that I had gone too far with my move. "It’s okay, it's just that... I never thought it would feel... like this.” She explained, swallowing nervously. “Like what?” "Hard and... long.” she replied, red as scarlet. "Well let me thank you, you make me feel totally proud of my attributes...” "You really know how to put on a good show.” Nick said appearing out of nowhere "Jacob says to please put down his little sister, if you don't want him to come and force you.”

“Emily, no offence, you know nothing. Yeah and that is not all that he is. He is also one of our ruthless killers, who doesn’t think twice before putting his life in danger. You can romanticize him all you want, but the devil wrapped in silk is still the devil.” “Yeah but maybe-“ “No, you can’t be the girl who makes him realize life is worth living and stuff and that killing is bad.” “Why do people always know what I am going to say? Am I really that predictable?” I ask him, almost upset that Jake, who barely knows me is guessing my exact next words. “Yes and trust me you can’t be that person but if you really need to talk to someone you can talk to Mary.” “Mary as in Nathan’s grandmother?”

She is pretty much on her own at this point. “I was talking with a friend that lives in California and he told me that his cousin who works for Jade Tech. He was telling me that his friends boss has been helping someone here Savannah look into their family. I guess they have found out a bunch of deeply buried family secrets. He wasn’t able to tell me much since his friend isn’t one of the people working on this.” Bennet says. “Do you know who the founder of Jade Tech is?” I ask.

"I don't know what I would have done without you." Chantelle POV As he sounded genuine and truthful, I couldn't help but tell him everything that has happened to me. How my uncle raped me. He looked angry and he was ready to kill. "Excuse me." Delcan said. I watched him stand up to make some calls and he came back hugging me and I cried again. With him I found comfort.

Even Pippa seemed surprised by the revelation. “Healer?” “Yes, Healer.” That made the room go quiet. The instructor gave me a searching look, then nodded. “Very well. Name, please?” “Ciara O’Callahan.” She pulled a stone tablet from her desk and traced a rune on it with her thumb. Golden light shimmered across its surface. “Records show you’re the daughter of Cormac and Jade O’Callahan. Born shifter, Luna rank. Says here you’re bonded to Darragh Byrne, Alpha of Moonveil.”

One of them looks up, “He can try and eat some if he wants, that would be a positive step.” Cole beams. “I’ll save him some. No harm in trying.” Jade looks up. Our eyes meet. Her face is tear-streaked. Red. Unapologetically broken. For this moment, she isn’t a monster. She’s a mother who almost lost her child. Who could still lose her child. And that’s what makes the fear settle deeper in my bones. Because whatever Jade did— She did it to protect Owen. I know she will stop at nothing again and again if she feels she has to.

I approached the guarded gate with no resemblance to that shy girl who'd been cast out. The two Beta guards, towering wolves both with Damon's cold eyes, immediately sighted me. "Well, well, well. Look what the wind blew back," sneered one. "The rejected Omega. See her still hanging around. Are you alive, little Annie?" "I need to see Alpha Damon," I said, trying to show confidence, although I was nothing but a shy, weak woman. The second guard laughed and clapped me on the shoulder with a heavy hand. "You really think the Alpha has time for something as hopeless as you? He's with Luna Cassandra, planning the expansion of the pack! Get lost before we have to drag you away!"

She stood, taller than I’d ever seen her. I felt something shift in my chest, something ancient, something primal, as I watched her give the order to our warriors to drag him away. Giovanni fought against the silver chains as they hauled him to his feet, sneering through his pain. “You’re a fool, Sienna,” he spat. “You think she’ll thank you for this? You think she’ll forgive you for denying her what she earned? Do you think that she's going to want anything to do with you? She is my. Daughter Marissa's daughter. Or as you want to call her, Tatiana. A monster. That's all she'll ever be.”
