The groans of the injured echoed faintly against the marble walls. And in the middle of it, him. Nolan. Standing tall, chest heaving, blood soaking his shirt. His eyes were still sharp, searching the room as though he refused to let his guard down even now. He was tending to a few who are wounded. He was taking care of them, making sure that they were all right. He was helping out with lifting anything that was heavy. But I saw it. The way his left shoulder hung wrong. The deep gash along his collarbone, still dripping. He was doing his best not to show, but I knew that it hurts him. I had seen the way the rogue bit him.

JAX I want to tear this dude’s fucking face off right now. It’s taking everything I have to hold my wolf at bay while I keep him pinned against the wall by the throat, trying to piece together in my mind what the fuck just happened. This guy is a reserve squad recruit- I think his name is Tommy or Tony or something? And I could’ve sworn he was dating Quinn’s friend from Stillwater, so why the hell would he be putting the moves on Quinn?

She didn’t show herself.” Then, Zach sent Luna a photo of Jason and another woman. “This is his girlfriend. Ms. Luna, I’m only telling you this because Bonnie is your friend. I can provide you with even more proof if you need it. Jason and I have known each other for many years, and we can’t possibly expose him, but you’re different.” After they hung up, Zach sent Luna a lot of photos. Jason indeed had a girlfriend abroad. Not only did he have a girlfriend, but he had a three-year-old son, too.

Jason let out a bitter smile and said, “No. It isn’t me. It’s your Aunt Summers.” “Mr. Yarde…” Not far away, Chadwick called him. Kayson waved his hand at him and said, “You guys go first. Don’t need to wait for me.” Chadwick nodded. Before he left, he took a glance at Jason. ‘Isn’t he the director of Triumph Realtor? He’s one of the top developers in Skyriv.’ Even he did not have a chance to meet someone like Jason. Yet, not only did Kayson know him, but he seemed rather close to him as well.

"I am not a fool, Jason. Tell me the fucking truth." Jason winced, his face contorting in pain as his body trembled. "He... he said... he said he... he was going to meet... meet with one of the... the elders," he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper. "He didn't tell... he didn't tell me anything else, Alpha Hudson. I promise." I lifted my hands from Jason shoulders and wiped the blood on them on my jeans. Jason, the moment I let him go, fell to the ground, groaning in pain as he held tight his injured shoulder.

"No, Mr. Lane and I are just friends. There are no romantic feelings between us. Quit trying to hook us up!" Jason had seen candid photos taken of them online. He thought Henry was a decent person. He didn't have a complicated background, and his parents were no longer around either, so there wouldn't be any conflicts if Zoey ever got together with him in the future. Besides, Henry was also a capable person. He managed to work his way up from a poor lad to a famous lawyer in the industry, and that was enough to show that he wasn't just a simpleton. However, his occupation as a lawyer was also why Jason had reservations about him.

Jason says standing up, walking over to his shoes and socks, putting them back on. "The sun is setting, stay here as long as you can. Okay I must get back to the Alpha." he says walking back over towards me, I stand up and look up at him. Jason has always been tall,20 years old and he is standing at six foot three. Jason pulls me in and hugs me, kissing the top of my head. "Thank you." I say to him hugging him back.

Now, all the color drained from his face. If the Crawfords found out about this humiliation, wouldn’t he be finished? “Mr. C-Cole…” Daniel stammered nervously. Jason smiled politely. “My last name isn’t C-C-Cole.” “You can just call me Jason.” Internally, he felt nothing but disgust toward Daniel Harrison. But outwardly, his smile remained flawless as he handed over a business card. It carried Leonel Crawford’s personal signature. “This is Chairman Crawford’s intention,” Jason said smoothly. “Tonight’s expenses are covered by him.”
