Looking at Lila, he said with a soft smile, “By all means, pack them.” “Did Steven Giles cough up more funds for research?” Lila quizzed. “Is he making us move? I don’t understand.” Carefully placing the lid on the oversized plastic tub that contained his research files, Jasper stopped working and took the time to properly explain things to his assistant.

He had messed with the wrong person. Jade huffed victoriously and reached into her bag. She pulled out a sticker which she stuck to his head and then her phone. She removed the tracker on his sleeve and took a picture of his ID card and then of him. Sending the first picture to a contact saved as Lewis on her phone, she instructed that he dug up every dirt on him and sent it to her in less than thirty minutes.

JAX I wake up in a cold sweat, panting as my eyes adjust to the darkness of my room. All the talk lately about the shadow pack and strategizing how to align our defenses with Denver has been seeping into my nightmares, robbing me of sleep. I’m lucky in that I don’t have any personal experience with the shadow pack thus far, but in my nightmares Alpha Xavier is this larger-than-life villain, his followers these soulless, twisted monsters who kill without remorse. Then again, from what I’ve heard about the shadow pack, the version of them in my dreams may not be too far off.

Jasper sat upright next to Steven, looking unperturbed. Yet deep within, he held immense admiration for the man beside him. Born into nobility, Jasper was naturally aloof, and Steven's humility and poise were qualities Jasper rarely encountered, even among the elite circles. Only a select few had ever earned his respect. If he managed to navigate this ordeal and return safely to the Beckett Group, he already resolved to approach Steven personally. He would offer Steven the position of the company's legal advisor, with remuneration entirely at Steven's discretion—a gesture of Jasper's utmost sincerity.

“Come on dad, just let me try one time. One sparring session with Alpha Daniel. Please?” Jaxson stands there contemplating whether he should let his youngest spar with his nephew and just let him learn this lesson on his own and see if this will teach him to take his time with training. When he looks over between Daniel and John and they give him a nod in approval and when John links Jaxson to give him a shot, Jaxson sighs in contempt and looks back to his little twin, the only son he has and the boy who could be his twin if he were older.

Jacob approached me as I walked into the kitchen. “So what’s the deal boss, why are we here?” I grabbed the bottle of scotch from the self and a glass. I poured myself a glass and sipped it. Jacob stared at me waiting for an answer. I flashed a devilish grin at him. “We are going to war.” He looked at me, confused. “With who and why?” I finished my drink and set the glass down. “Joseph King. He shouldn’t have double-crossed me.”

“Are you getting jealous over a person born with a congenital defect?” “Whatever. Just don’t look at him!” Jasper frowned. Stephen was gorgeous, gentle, cute, and tall too. Other than the occasional dull and silly look in his eyes, he looked completely normal. Jasper was good-looking, an extremely edgy kind of good-looking. Stephen was the total opposite of him. He was good-looking, cute, and obedient, like a pure-breed white Samoyed. “Sapphire, he’s a bad guy!” Stephen rushed in front of Summer. He stretched out his arms, stopping Jasper from getting any closer to Summer.

Steph said, walking over to the other room to finish the tests she was running. "She already has demigod Jasper for that, Steph!" Jade said and we laughed at how she grinded her hips in the air and moaned. "Jade's right. Jasper is enough entertainment for now. I can't imagine having two rebounds."
