Chapter Fifteen
Things with the Red Crest pack have been a bit…tense. Jaxson and the boys know Luna Jackie is up to something, but they haven’t been able to figure out what exactly, but they know she is up to something. They have been pulling strings and making calls to every ally pack they can think of and they have come up with nothing concrete as of yet, they did manage to figure out there is a rogue pack that has been living in the outskirts of Blue Moon pack boarders for years now and Jaxson and the boys can’t seem to figure out why this rogue pack hasn’t made a move to take over or even invade the land, it’s like they are just happy living in the outskirts of the boarder.But Alpha Jaxson along with Alpha Dillion and Daniel are bound to find out what is going on there. Chapter SixteenJackie was finalizing the last of her plans, this was the night she was going to make her move, she was going to use Caleb to take over her pack and to take over The Red Crest pack too. She made her way out to the Blue Moon pack boarders to find Caleb and to get him and his pack to ambush the enforcer guarding the border. Chapter SeventeenCaleb looks up and sees Jackie running to him and when he slowly backs away, he motions to two of his enforcers to grab James and they quickly throw silver chains on his paws and a collar type chain around his neck. Caleb shifts back and walks to Jackie.“What is the matter my love. I thought you wanted me to kill him.”“It’s not that. It’s just…If you kill him with his mark still on me, I will feel it and it will affect me as it would any wolf who loses their mate. We need to find a way to remove his mark first. Please Caleb.”Caleb gives her a nod and move to turn to his enforcers.“Put him in the basement cells and we will figure out what to do in the morning.”Caleb then turns back to Jackie. Chapter EighteenOnce Caleb was inside his new packhouse, he made his way around looking for Jared and Jackie. He couldn’t seem to find them anywhere, until he made his way to the kitchen. When he walked in, he found Jared with a look of fury on his face and when he looked at who this fury was directed at, he stepped closer to said person in a need to protect them.“Jared, I understand your upset. I am too. I spent years wondering what my life would be like if I had a child of my own, and when your mother first told me she was pregnant, I thought my life was going to be better and I would finally get everything I had prayed for. But she told me that you could have been Alpha James child too, I guess I just never thought about it much. I’m willing to move passed this and I would like to try and get to know you better and I understand that you know Alpha James as your father, and I get it. Chapter NineteenWhen Jordan finally makes it to the packhouse, Alpha Jaxson, Dillion, and Daniel meets him at the front door and escort him to the main office to sit and have a talk about everything that is going on and what Jordan know.“Okay son. What is going on? Why are you here?”“Well, Alphas. I wanted to come and warn you about what happened at my pack tonight. I’m sorry to come so late, but I didn’t feel right just leaving you all to fend for yourselves without warning. Especially since this pack is the home of my mate.”Dillion and Daniel look to each other then look back to Jordan.“I’m sorry your mate is from this pack?”“Yes, she is Alpha Daniel.”“Just Daniel is fine Jordan. Chapter Twenty The boys make their way to the Blue Moon Pack to figure out what they hell is going on with Jackie and her so called mate Caleb.According to Jared, she has been playing Alpha James for years and making him think that Jared is his son in actuality he is this rogue’s son. Jared is denying the whole thing and believes Alpha James is his father. Jackie seems to have lost her mind and thinks that she is the true Luna to the Blue Moon pack and that she has the right to bring in this Caleb person and take over what she believes to be hers when really is should belong to Jared if anyone.So that brings all the guys to the realization that they need to step in and figure out what is going on. Chapter Twenty-OneJared runs over to try and comfort his mother, but she manages to push him away and when she looks to him, she has a look of rage in her eyes.“You! You did this! Why would you bring them here? We could have been happy together; your father could have taught you the way to properly run a successful pack. And you killed him! You brought that traitor to my pack and now look! Your father is dead!”Jared steps away from his mother and at her words he feels his mother is gone and he won’t get her back. EpilogueSix months LaterAlpha James and Jared have been working hard to get everything back on track after Jackie managed to destroy nearly everything within the pack.When she took off that night, they haven’t seen or heard from her or heard anything about her. They can only assume that she is somewhere in the world living as a rogue. They try not to think about the worst part of what could have happen to her. Jared can’t bring himself to think that way, even with the fact that after all the horrible things she has done, she is still his mother.Alpha James can’t bring himself to think the worst of it happening either, even after all the horrible things she has done to him, he still feels a bit of love for her, they were together for many years, they dated off and on in high school and they were mates throughout most of their adult lives together and after everything Alpha James can’t find it in his heart to hate her completely.
