It was Jesse Doyle, a junior from my department, the same guy I'd asked for help before. Jesse was one of the other students guaranteed admission to Arkenville University, just like I was. He wanted to apply for Professor Briggs's graduate program as well, which was how we'd gotten close. But since he was still a junior, he hadn't signed up for the competition this year. When I first decided to quit, Jesse was the only one I thought to call. My teammates had worked so hard, I couldn't just walk away and ruin everything. ' In full view of everyone, the car door opened. A pair of black leather shoes stepped down, and the person got out of the car. The man was slender and wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. Helma pursed his lips and watched Jordan get out of the car. "Hello, everyone. I am Jordan Ellis, the representative of the Guller Group and Mr. Guller's special assistant..."
