Tears gathered uncontrollably at the corners of her eyes now, but anger still remained stronger than weakness inside her expression. “You obsessed fucking psychopath,” she cursed breathlessly. “You keep pretending this is punishment when you are clearly enjoying every second of this.” Jeffery folded his arms slowly across his chest. “You think too highly of yourself,” he replied evenly. “Your death simply belongs to me now.”

He had a shock of dark hair that fell just-so over his forehead and temples, worn slightly longer than most guys, and soulful brown eyes that made you feel as if he was really listening to what you had to say. Like all Alphas, he was broad and tall and muscular, with a jaw and cheekbones that looked as if they were carved from marble. I swallowed hard.
