“Hello, ladies.” Slate put on his flirtiest smile as he approached the mages, hoping to find one or two that would be willing to go with him to Maura’s house. He would need to find one powerful enough to turn him into Jack for a little while. As revolting as it was to think of having to be Jack at all, he’d made it seem like it was going to be impossible for Slate to fool Maura into thinking he was Jack, and Slate resented the idea that anyone thought him incapable of fooling the girl.

She has my brother's undivided attention.

Jenny looked around. She was surrounded by the staff of Mrs. Helson. However, she retracted the words released as she was just joking with the woman.

We couldn't stop staring at this angel before us for nearly a minute, unable to believe that she truly belonged to us. 'Jerney is truly a beauty! We’ll cherish her like the rarest diamond, ensuring she never experiences pain. We'll fulfill all her desires and beyond, striving to make her the happiest she-wolf in existence.' It was evident that Slade deeply cared for her, he hadn't made such promises even to Jael.

Selena nodded warily, “I just hope you’re not planning to use her like I did. Elaine’s been through enough. If she’s managed to find peace, let her keep it.” Katherine gave a polite smile, “Don’t worry, Selena. My intentions are purely professional.” As Katherine and Jenny stepped out of the cottage, the crisp air hit them, bringing a sense of clarity to Katherine’s thoughts. “Mistress.” Jenny began cautiously, “What do you think we should do now?”

The others could blend in with the crowd because it was only during their transformations that the color of their eyes depending on their rank was revealed. But pure-blood Alphas had red eyes and unimaginable strength. They were uncommon, dangerous, and uncontrollable. Killing machines... If I can put it that way. a lie. He disappears from my sight and reappears but this time he had his cell phone in his hands, he looks for something and then hands it to me.
