And I was still engaged to him at the time." Her eyes widened as she realized she wouldn't have recognized the girl if Luke hadn't told her it was Jessie. It's nothing like the Jessie she saw earlier. Yes, the two are still young in the photo, but Jessie is a long way from being a fashionista; aside from being healthy, her hair is colorless, and she is not a fashionista. Jessie walked classily towards us and took her seat at the table before opening her laptop, trying not to make Lucy's look affect her in any way. "She's the one?" Gabrielle asked Lucy, but her eyes were on Jessie instead. Lucy nodded. I looked at Jessie and realized that no matter how composed she was trying to be, her cheeks were flushed and she was very uncomfortable. "She is.
