Josey smiled slightly and nodded, petting the kitten, “I see, well, maybe he’ll change his mind and let Cherry stay.”
“Good luck with that, Ms. Parks, I don’t see that happening,” Linux scoffed.
“Please call me Josey. Ms. Parks sounds too formal, like I’m at work. Speaking of work,” handing the small bundle of fur to Linux, Josey got off the stool and looked at Mara, “If you want, I can take a cab back to the office, you don’t have to take me.”
