That was my first kiss!! “What have you done, Jill?!” As Wayne’s figure disappeared in the distance, she sat alone, her fingers unconsciously brushing against her lips—the same lips that had stolen a kiss. The journal’s pages flipped by themselves, revealing words written in red ink across the page: “One kiss. That’s all it takes.” Camela felt her breath hitch in her throat as she backed away until her shoulders hit the wall. The ink began to swirl faster, with words spilling across the page: “One kiss. Then, in a different handwriting she recognized all too well, new ink appeared on the page. It was Vincent’s voice, written in jagged and sharp strikes: “Don’t.”

It’s a good thing I’m excellent at compartmentalizing things. I can evaluate and stress over what happened with Erin in the yard later. I don’t have the time to mentally face the fact that I kissed someone who isn’t Jen. Jen was the only woman I ever kissed. She was my first and was supposed to be the last and only. But again, I can overthink and mentally kick myself over that later.

Jayden stood frozen long after Ronan had disappeared into the huge villa, his chest still heaving, pulse hammering as his mind replayed the kiss, the drive to the island and the impossibility of it all.

I said and turned to go to my room. Since the night that I gave her a kiss by her door, we have been having our meals together and when no one is looking I steal a few kisses from her. Oh so I thought until I saw Maria catch us one day. She has been over the moon but, the sweetest part is Mika sometimes pulls me back for a longer kiss. That girl has me feeling and doing some strange things I never saw or thought I would do.
