A loud scream tore out of the silver wolf and it fell back. Asher cracked an eye open and saw Jennifer’s tall frame through the curtain of sand, stones, branches, leaves and metal caused by the whirlwind. She emerged through it coming closer, her red hair shone like a flame around her and her green eyes sparked fire. Green light surrounded her as she repeated the spell in her ancient tongue. Her hands were stretched out and her palms held crackling green flames which she threw at the Silver wolf. It whimpered and staggered. Jennifer repeated the spell and sent the flames again. “Eh idas pytos! Eh mmancod eit!”
