La Herencia Capitulo 2 Novels & Stories

How could they tell that this beautiful woman who seemed normal was a demon? Dang, I have so many questions. Lucas passed me the file. "Read it with all your heart if you want." I followed his instructions and focused my attention to read it. Carl laughed at us. "It seems like you found someone to inherit your heritage." I halted my reading. Heritage? Was Lucas that so old? Carl noticed my dumb and confused expression. "You didn't tell her?" Carl asked with a stunned look at Lucas. Lucas looked away. Silently confirming Carl's speculations.

Inside was a folded paper. The original contract. He held it out. She stepped forward, but Lorenzo blocked her. “I’ll take it.” “No,” Adrian said. “She has to.” Reluctantly, Lorenzo stepped aside. She took the paper, opened it, and read. There, at the bottom, in a different pen: “Should the child born of blood be claimed, she shall inherit not only the debt—but the empire.” She looked up, voice trembling. “What is this?” Adrian’s eyes were haunted. “It means you weren’t a sacrifice. You were the heir.”

Elena Legacy was never meant to be inherited. It was meant to be earned. But as I stood with Damien in the silent cold of my father’s former private study – long abandoned, untouched since his death. I realized I had inherited something far more treacherous than just an empire. I had inherited questions. And tonight, I was finally ready for the answers. We were searching for the hidden clause of my father’s Will. The real one. Not the redacted version released to the public when he died, but the one Victor had alluded to – the one that could unravel everything I thought I knew about my claim to the Montrose empire.

I say, seeing which papers that idiot was looking at. "I'm not a peeper". Speaks sitting in the chair facing my desk. "I just don't understand why you feel so much hatred for him". "Don't you understand?" I ask louder, not believing what I had just heard. "You are the daughter and heiress of businessmen, fairy tales don't exist for any of us". She answers seriously. "You should be happy because he's young, he's hot, and you have an overwhelming chemistry. I'm still recovering from what I saw". She says, shaking herself with a smile.

They were all sitting in the living room, looking like they owned the place. “I want all of my mother's properties,” I demanded, trying to sound confident. My father sneered at me. “You have no right to request anything,” she spat. “You are just a disgraced daughter who's been in prison for three years. You are not even worthy of being called a member of this family.” I felt a surge of anger, but I tried to keep my cool. “I'm my mother's daughter,” I said, my voice firm. “And I deserve to inherit her properties. Including this house,”

"But I'm not just a wolf anymore." I lunged. I didn't use my claws. I grabbed her by the throat, my hand glowing with a heat that made her skin blister. I lifted her off the ground, watching her kick and gasp for air. "Where is the master remote?" I hissed. "The one that controls the airships?" "I... I won't tell you," she wheezed, her face turning purple. "Fine." I closed my eyes and let my power flow into her. I didn't want to kill her, not yet. I wanted her memories. I saw flashes of her life: her secret meetings with the Alliance, her hatred for Draven, and a secret she had hidden even from herself.

The pull inside my chest had intensified, no longer vague, no longer distant. He was not just watching. He was preparing. And worse than that, I knew with chilling certainty— He knew exactly who I was. The forest shifted softly around us, indifferent to the weight settling in my chest. The path ahead had changed, even if the destination had not. This was no longer about Rowan’s remnants. This was about inheritance. And somewhere beyond the trees, the Heir was laying claim. Not with war. But with patience.

After all, even though I had always been obedient and gentle, I had zero tolerance when it came to betrayal. “Yvonne, do you really understand?” I nodded, curling my lips into a bitter smile. “Zayn, we both have to think of the family. I understand you need an heir. After all, the Levine mafia empire is vast. Someone has to inherit it. “If you think it would be easier, you can bring Whitney home so that she’s cared for. That way, I’ll feel reassured too.” Joy spread across his face when I said those words. He let out a long sigh of relief.

Something they do not understand. She pushed through several pages, muddling through drawings, maps, and meaningless scratchings—location, dates, payments. A record of transactions and affairs and none of these had anything to do with her. And a second note, scribbled spidery as though Samuel had been interrupted. "The inheritance is tainted. Don't let L.A. know. Harrison can't interfere—his loyalty is suspect." Leya's hand trembled. L.A.—she must be a true woman. And inheritance? Whose? Samuel had been rich, anyway, but she hadn't inherited his estate—or not, at least, that she knew.

“Remember when you first came and Jaya touched your hand, then she announced you were pregnant?” It seemed like a long time ago, but I could remember her outburst and how random it was. I had thought Lucian told her and maybe she didn’t believe him. It never even occurred to me that she had never seen me, and I was sitting in the car. Also, I had no bump. So she couldn’t have seen and confirmed the news. “What? So along with being a werewolf, you’re also a mind reader?” “We all have gifts in our family,” he pointed to the side of his head. “This is mine. And Jaya can tell things like that. Feel connections. She felt we were connected through that child.”
