Di sebuah malam yang gelap, sinar lampu gemerlapan menghiasi jalan-jalan kota metropolitan. Di salah satu hotel mewah, seorang pria kaya raya, Alexander Blackwood, dikenal karena kekayaan dan keangkuhannya, terperosok dalam keadaan mabuk berat.
