Last Minute Bride Novels & Stories

“Perfect. Stay confident—the only one allowed to be late is the bride.” With that, Gavin patted his brother on the shoulder, and the two made their way toward the church, where a wedding unlike any typical billionaire affair was about to unfold. … Alden tried his best to conceal his unease. The wedding had been scheduled for eleven in the morning, yet thirty minutes had passed, and Emma was still nowhere to be seen. Just as he was about to panic and send someone to check on her, murmurs spread through the room—word was that the bride had arrived.

Hopefully. “The last claimed bride is . . .” she turned her whole body to watch us and let a pause settle over the room, most likely to draw out the suspense, but instead, she was highlighting my shame. “Blaire Ashbourne. Step on up darling, come claim your man.” She paused and tilted her head at the paper again, “Fredrick Marlowe. Come claim your man. Blaire, you’ve been bought by Fredrick Marlowe of the Ice Peak pack. Fred come snag your woman so we can all get the ceremony underway.”

Smiled. “Instead,” he said, stepping back, “I’ve asked someone else to be my bride.” My knees nearly gave way but I stood still, every cell in my body screaming. Out of the crowd, she stepped forward. Clarissa. My sister. Wearing my dress. "Liam," I breathed. "What are you doing?" He didn’t answer me. He extended his hand, to her. “Clarissa, love, come here.” And just like a rehearsed pageantry, she strode down the red carpet, a smile carved on her lips as she walked towards him, confident, calm and cruel.

He's such a gentleman when it comes to me. "I am deeply honored to receive such privilege, Your Highness," I said with utmost sarcasm, purposely emphasizing the last two words to tease him. "Indeed, my lovely bride." "Bride, my ass. Don't be carried away. We both know what's the real score here." "Of course. But I suppose we shall not let them see that, shall we?" "What do you want me to do then? I'm already smiling here like a complete idiot. Should I kiss you torridly in front of them just to make them believe we are in some sort of understanding?"

She picked it up, and looked at Clara that was getting her makeup done by the stylist. "We are left with 30 minutes and you guys are still not dressed?" Clara's mother came out fully dressed. "We are waiting for the bride." Bella smiled cheekily as Clara's mother touched her forehead, wondering where she got 4 more girls that had the same attitude like her daughter. The confused preparation continued and 2 hours later, they were officially ready, The photography came and took a quick picture of the Bride and her parents, then the bride with the Bride's maid. When they were done, Clara's mother was already urging them to get into the car, "The limousine is here for the bride! Wait why is a li

I mumbled and I halted in my tracks after an idea popped into my head. Yes! I took my phone and started to copy his number from the billboard and dialed it. To my amazement, the person picked at the second dial, and his deep voice came on at the other end. "I am C.E.O Stephen De La Cruz of the DeLaCruz Group of Tech Companies. Who are you and what do you have to tell me today?" "This is Kendall Hart and I want to inform you that I am ready to be your contracted bride."

She grabbed her water glass like it was a lifeline, brows raised in silent demand. Delilah spoke first, words strangling out. “So what exactly is the word, Zeden?” I set my fork down. Met both their eyes, then turned to Amber. “Bride.” The word landed clean and final. “My bride.” The glass slipped from Mother’s hand. It shattered against the floor in a spray of shards and water. Delilah swayed in her seat, face draining of color like someone had pulled a plug. And Amber—fuck, the shock on her face hit me harder than either of them.

It is groom of honour's right and also the law of marriage to take the bride. Royalty won't call it rape or assault, they will name it rights. Genelia's mind wandered around a lot of things. Master had the power of making her restless even when not being around... "We will be leaving before noon, master ordered to get you ready madam!" One of the servers of Garcia's lining up in the bridal chamber then decided to speak witnessing the paused bride standing, lost in her thoughts. They guessed the meaning of her state right and decided to unfurled the mystery and end her curiosity.

My hair was also a simple bun at the back of my head, with a jewelled clip to hold my veil in place. The bridal gown was pure white and simple. The skirt was flowing with a slight train and the sleeves were lace. Although my father had objected to the ‘unconventional dress’ at first…but he had changed his mind at the last minute when my groom’s father, and by father’s good friend, Mr. Davis, had reminded him that this was the twenty first century and women dressing in lace sleeves was appropriate enough. And yet…Mr. Davis hadn’t thought that arranged marriages should’ve been left behind in the nineteenth century either.

So yeah, they are one of the reasons too. So here I am, standing in the waiting area for the last touch up prior the ceremony. "Let's go, Mom," I curl my hand around hers as she nods, wiping the last tears on her face. I walk through the door and stand next to the priest. My heart beats so fast, I'm fucking nervous waiting for the liar. The bride. My bride. The background music of Love Story by Taylor Swift fill the hall signalling she's about to step in. Everybody is turning their head towards the door, perhaps curious at the mysterious bride that I refuse to reveal until this very moment.
