My eyes widened as the ground glowed beneath me, I tried moving out of the circle I was in only to realize that there was what looked like a force field wall which I couldn’t get past. I punched the wall twice, it glowed under the force. But that was all, I couldn’t move out of it as mum proudly explained the rules of the games.

However, she seemed tense, like she was doing something really important, and she could not afford to mess up. “Claude, the general manager of Glazed Light is asking for you.” After that brief introduction, she immediately went to stand at the back of the crowd, worried that she would end up getting dragged into this war. When Wendy saw everything before her, she was taken aback. There was a sea of reporters surrounding me, and my colleagues stood at the back with various expressions. Soon, though, she smiled calmly. “Looks like you’re in quite a bit of trouble too.” I feigned relaxation and was just about to speak when Lloyd ran over, like a shark smelling blood.

The audio blasted through the boardroom speakers via the car’s Bluetooth, which Lilia hadn't realized was still synced. "LILIA!" the woman shouted, her voice echoing off the marble walls.
