I have to avenge my death, I have to make them pay for what they’ve all done to me and the only way I can do that is to play a game, a game where no one knows anything about me. “Lily, I am so sorry, I hope they didn’t put you through much trouble?” A familiar voice put an abrupt stop to my pondering and I lifted my head to see Kate, she was one of the maids too and probably the only one with a heart. “No, I’m fine.” I managed a smile as I stood to face her and I saw Kate flash me a painful smile as she closed the gap between us, her eyes carefully scrutinizing me as though searching for bruises.

I suddenly felt as if my throat was being strangled as she raised her hand towards me. Dillon was shocked and confused upon seeing Ari with a different appearance. "What's going on—is that Ari?" Dillon asked while being confused as he tried to stand up and walk closer to Ari. She suddenly waved her other hand at Dillon, throwing quite a powerful force. He didn't budge, but he obtained a few cuts. She suddenly restrained him using a force we couldn't see. "I am Ayla, goddess of the moonlight—I finally found her, but... what do we have here?" she asked before laughing hysterically.

She took a relaxing shower, letting the warm water wash away any hesitation or doubt about what would happen tonight. As she emerged from the shower, wrapped in a towel and steam curling around her, Lily's heart nearly leaped out of her chest. The man from earlier stood in her room, his presence filling the space with an unsettling aura. She clutched the towel tighter, her voice laced with anger. "Who are you, and what are you doing in my room?" The man turned to her, his eyes gleaming with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine. "I am Adrian," he announced with a chilling calmness. "You're as beautiful as I first saw you Winter Moon night."

Evelyn's POV Lily’s smirk didn’t fade. If anything, it grew wider when her boyfriend slipped an arm around her waist. “This is Adrian,” she said loudly, making sure everyone heard. “He’s a werewolf. Owns part of a real estate company in Crescent City.” The guests murmured with interest, and I could already see where this was going. Adrian gave a polite nod, but Lily wasn’t done. “Unlike some people,” she added, eyes flicking to Dominic, “he actually works for himself. I’m guessing you’re… what? A technician? Maybe a laborer?”
