“Fair point,” I say, smiling faintly. “Okay, here’s the thing. I’m pregnant too.”
Her eyes widen, and she nearly spits out her latte. “Wait, what?”
“Yeah,” I admit, laughing nervously. “I just found out a couple of days ago. Haven’t even told the team yet.”
“Serena, that’s amazing,” she says, her face lighting up. “Congrats!”
“Thanks,” I say, though my smile falters. “But it’s terrifying, too. Between Etoile de Collin going global and Collin starting preschool, I don’t know how I’m going to balance it all.”
