HOUSE OF FORBIDDEN DESIRE
Lucas was in the kitchen, drying off his hair with a towel, still in the same black hoodie and jeans he’d worn on the plane.
He looked older than I remembered. He had darker circles under his eyes, a new tattoo curling around his left forearm that I couldn’t quite make out.
He saw me and gave his biggest smile, it didn't hide the fact he was tired.
“Hey, little sister.”
I crossed the room and hugged him without thinking. He smelled like airport coffee and something faintly foreign.
“Missed you,” I mumbled into his shoulder.
He hugged me back, longer than usual and a bit tight.
