His Choice Wasn't Me
Magnus took the seat across from her, watching her reaction with quiet satisfaction.
“I figured you spend too much time in boardrooms and offices,” he replied. “You deserve moments like this.”
For a while, they spoke about small things, the funny mishaps Magnus experienced during his travels, the chaotic but exciting developments happening at Transcop Tech, and even some childhood memories that somehow found their way into the conversation.
But as the evening progressed, Magnus’ expression gradually became more thoughtful.
At some point, he leaned slightly forward across the table.
“You know,” he began slowly, “watching everything you’ve built… it’s impressive.”
