Marcellus despised men who feared. Fear was a man's greatest enemy and the male in front of him acted like a weakling rather than a superior specie. To him, he wasn't worthy to be a vampire. Vampires weren't scared, they were the embodiment of strength and brutality. But this one had dishonored their race and he couldn't spare him.
