Andrew parked his gold Aston Martin in the parking lot of the Moonlit Homeless Shelter. Over the past three days, he had taken Princess Aurora to all of his favorite monuments and landmarks within the city: the One World, One Species Tower (a monument to werewolf/human coexistence), Bloodsuckers Rock (a memorial to the victims of the first vampiric insurgence), Lycanthrope Galleria, the Werewolf Heritage and Art Museum, to name a few. Now, he wanted to show her a grimmer side of the werewolf world and what he was doing to clean it up.

I had always longed for adventure. Papa use to say that would be the end of me if I kept Fantasizing about the world beyond the ruins but that never stopped me from dreaming. I sat with my legs hanging out the window from the ruined palace staring at the setting sun as snow lightly fell on the ground. I have been living in the ruins for almost ten years now, Mama and papa thought it would be more better to flee and hide away from those monsters as they say.

I wanted to let you know that Echoes of Ruin will be going on a short, temporary hiatus. The story will officially return on January 1st, and this pause is purely a reset, not a goodbye. This world, these characters, and the story still unfolding mean so much to me. Stepping back briefly helps me stay aligned with the pacing, emotional weight, and intensity this series deserves, especially as we move into the next stretch of the story, where everything begins to tighten, fracture, and collide. I want to make sure what comes next hits exactly the way it should.

The darkness coming in from every direction at once. I shook it off and reached for the glass of water on my bedside table. My phone buzzed. Rian’s text message came in. Right. The part where the buildings were old and the streets didn't have names anyone remembered.

Hazel couldn't help but laugh at her aunt's way of babying her. "I'm good. On my way to hostel." Hazel bit her lip in guilt, hating to lie to her. Her aunt didn't know Hazel was staying in hostel. Or she would have never allowed her to come here at first place. Or rather someone else wouldn't have permitted her. "Oh alright and be safe baby. And when are you coming back? Don't you miss your aunt?" Hazel couldn't help but sigh softly. Her course for which she came here completed two months ago.

They nod at my question. “And what’s worse is that there’s no west part of LUAHU.” Zion tells me. I turn to him, “Has anyone of you been there?” “No.” Zion answers. “There’s really nothing much to see aside from the cliff with a long drop filled with huge rocks on the bottom pit and massive killer waves.” Diana adds. “Plus, it’s a long drive from here. It would take you four hours travelling back and forth.” Zion added. I sigh sadly. “Don’t worry Merry.” Diana takes my hand and I smiled at her weakly. “We will find that it.”

They nodded at each other and smiled. “Happy to see you awake, Mrs.Castanio,” he mumbled as he lazily got up from his seat. Ayesha looked at me confused. “What happened? The last thing I remembered was a gunshot. And...” her eyes started scanning herself. “…seems like no one was hurt,” she continued. Her body then stiffened, trembling from fear. Her mouth opened slowly, asking. “E-Ellaine. W-Where is she?” she asked, her eyesight were switching from me Xenoah.

“They pay a ton to have this place cleaned up for just a few hours. Word is, they’ve got a mansion in Southbridge. This is all just for show.” Hearing that, I felt a chill down my spine. Since the Halloways’ main estate was in Southbridge, I rode my bike there. The mansion was enormous, perched halfway up the hill, and guarded by security. Never in a million years would I have dreamed of being in a place like that. As I approached, a guard barked, “Hey! You! Get lost!” I froze. Then, just as I was turning to leave, a motorcycle roared past me. I recognized it instantly. It was worth over 300 thousand dollars, and on it was Xander, who saw me too.

Abigail constantly accused me of lacking propriety, yet when it came to Louis, everything suddenly became negotiable. … At the auction, Abigail spent lavishly on three pieces of jewelry, leaving Louis both surprised and delighted.
