I woke up on a very comfortable thingy that felt like it was moving. My eyes hurt as I tried opening them and when I finally did, my vision were a little blurry but I knew it was from staying under the cold water for that long.
I looked around and saw that I was in a car, a moving car and I gasp in amazement. This was the first time I have ever seen and been such a beautiful and clean car. The ones in the ruins were old, Rusty and not working. I used to play in them when I was a kid, playing hide and seek with my other friends and that was the perfect spot to hide but now, I'm actually sitting in one that actually works.
"You're awake," The King's voice sounded from behind me and I turned to him looking at me.
He gazed at me with love and adoration and I knew why. Of course I heard stories of the Mighty King Micah, the only man to have ever lived for such a long time, for more than 700 years.
It is known that every wolf was blessed with a soul-mate, their other half except the King and that was why he became brutal, blaming their god the moon goddess for creating him without one.
"Lovette" He called again but I only spare him a glance before staring out the car window.
After being in the car for up to three hours with both I and King Micah being silent — sometimes just staring at each other, I noticed how the trees became greener and the grass had more life to them. It has been long I last saw such beautiful greens because in the ruins, everything was cold-dead. After a few minutes of staring at the green natures, I looked ahead through the drivers seat and a beautiful castle came in view.
"Wow" I gawked placing my hands on the car window to get a better view. I parted my lips softly as we approached the rusting gates of the caged royal walls made of pure concrete and bricks.
I probably look like a child who was just given their first Christmas gift, excited to see what's in it and play with it, but this scene — this scene was nothing I've ever imagined to witness ever in my life.
The King chuckled at the other side, coming to sit next to me and place his hand on my shoulder but I was to mesmerized by the scene before me to care but still, I tensed up a little.
"Do you like it?" He asked in a whisper, his hot breath fanning my neck and making goosebumps appear on my skin. I take in a breath and nodded shaking, "Yes... It's quite beautiful" I mumbled and the king hummed before giving me a little space and I released a breath.
The gates were opened and I finally got to see how the castle was like on the inside. The castle was incredible, breathtaking. Everything about the castle grounds screamed fantasy and royalty and suddenly, I felt out of place.
Everyone looked chic and rich, well-feed and in beautiful clothing ms save for some who were working and I could tell that they were humans.
The car finally stopped and the door was pushed open. I got out and turned around, looking at the castle one more time before my eyes landed on the man who wouldn't stop looking at me.
He sauntered towards me with his hands in his black pants. I stood there, rocking on the ball of my feet and awkwardly placing my hands at my side.
"Come" he said, removing his right hand from his pants and putting it infront of me, waiting for me to accept it but all I did was look at the hand, then at his face before walking up the stairs that leads to the inside of the castle.
"What did I do to make you hate me so much?" He asked jogging to me at the stairs and I stopped, my eyes twitching.
"What did you do?" I asked and scoffed, taking a step close to him. "My family and friends are laying on the cold ground in pieces" I rasped poking his chest with my index finger.
"My mother is there on the floor laying in her own blood all alone and I never got to even give her a proper burial!!" I yelled at his face and a few heads turned out way and when they saw that the King was whom I was speaking to, they lowered their heads to the ground and mind their business.
Tears had now gathered in my eyes, threatening to spill but I kept them in. The scene of how mom died kept playing in my head like a broken record, repeating itself, taunting and telling me of how I could have saved her life if only I was faster, not just standing there like a log.
"I'm sorry, Lovette, I really am but I am a king, I had to do what had to be done. They broke a rule and that was the consequences of their actions." He muttered running his hand over his face and released a sigh.
I gave him a nod and a tear fell from the action. I quickly wiped it away and continued my journey up the stairs even if I do not know where I'm going.
I could hear the king call someone from below me and a lady joins me at my side and I stopped again, also using the opportunity to rest because God, this damn stairs seems to go on forever.
"The King has ordered me to show you to your sleeping chamber" She said emotionlessly and bowed. I could tell she was human for she looked fragile unlike how the other beasts looked, Healthy.
"You no not need to bow" I told her when she raised her head a bit but her eyes were still staring at her shoes.
"His majesty would be angry" she murmured and I sighed nodded my head for I knew nothing would change her mind. It was already something that was drillee to their head.
We walk down the halls and soon we got to our destination. The door was pushed open by the maid and I gasped at the size and beauty of the room.
The room was covered in gray silk and black woody furnitures, our footsteps thundered against the wooden floor as we walked deeper into the room.
"The curtains are laced with magic, keeping the cold out and the room a designed temperature" she said motioning to the gray curtains that covered the ceiling high windows.
"Here is the bathroom" she mumbled pushing the door open and I was amazed at the size of the bathroom. Here I was thinking that the palace in the ruins had the best bathrooms but this beats it a hundred times.
"And finally," She says walking forward while I trailed behind her. She pushed another door at the right revealing a...
"Spring bath?" I asked and she said at the same time. We both looked at each other and chuckled. Her eyes lit up a little when she laughed making her beautiful features come to life.
"I would leave it to you then, M'lady" She bowed before turning around and when she was at the door about to leave, I called out to her.
"Wait!" I said and she stopped turning her head and waiting for whatever task I had for her but that wasn't the case. "What's your name?" I asked her and she smiled a little.
"My name is Fallon" She murmured and bowed before closing the door behind her.
I smiled a little at that and I was happy that I had made a friend here.
Lovette’s POV:I bit my lip as I remembered Micah’s words. “I love you my little wolf.” I smiled as I massaged my scalp with the shampoo, releasing a sigh as the spring water felt nice against my skin.It had been over two weeks since the war ended, and although it was over, Micah hadn’t come back to the castle since he and my brother were still taking care of the Dannas kingdom.Hands wrapped around me, and I raised my head out of the water, gasping and trying to push whoever it was away.“Shhhh. It’s just me,” he whispered.I paused as his hot breath hit my neck, sending shivers down my spine. “Micah,” I breathed out, spinning around to look at his face.“You’re back,” I grinned, and he cupped my face with his right hand.“I missed you,” he mumbled, his lips landing on the side of my jaw, and his other hand pulling me closer to him.I wrapped my hands around his neck and my legs around his hips. I bit my lip as I looked at his face, and he smirked, walking us to the edge of the pool
Micah’s POV“I choose him,” Lovette said, and my heart filled with love. Danna hissed, and the red snake wrapped around her crawled into her mouth, transforming her into a massive red snake.“Stupid girl!” Danna hissed, slamming her tail on the floor. I pulled Lovette behind me, trying to protect her.Drawing my sword, I aimed it at Danna, who only laughed. “You think you can defeat me?” she questioned. I had already shifted between wolf and man, enhancing my senses.I growled, baring my teeth. “We’ll see about that.”“Oh, how I’ve longed for this,” Danna hissed, her scales scraping across the muddy floor. “How king I have dreamed of destroying everything you and everything your father once loved,” she added, her voice laced with venom.Lovette held on to me, shaking with fear. I turned to her and whispered, “Run.”I placed the sword on my hips and shifted into my wolf, my eyes piercing gold. Before I could react, Danna’s massive body coiled around me, slamming me against the wall an
Micah's POVI stood at the top of a hill with my armor on, next to Hayden. We looked down at the Witches' kingdom that would soon crumble to the ground. I turned to Hayden and tapped him on the shoulder. "It's time."It was nighttime, which gave us an advantage against our enemies. We could see at night, but they couldn't. I turned around to my men, who were ready to fight, and spoke with my head held high."My brothers, today we fight not just for ourselves, but for our entire Kingdom," I declared, my golden eyes flashing with determination. "We will show these witches that our strength and courage cannot be matched and that our loyalty to each other and our land will never falter." I paused, looking at each of their determined faces. I took a deep breath and glanced at Hayden. They all roared in agreement, their spirits lifted, and my confidence unwavering. "We all know the plan, and together, we fight and we win!"They all raised their weapons in a salute to me, and with a fierce h
Micah's POV:The door to the meeting room swung open when the guards saw me. I could feel their wolves submitting fully to me, while mine puffed his chest in pride. My beta and the other war planners were all seated, and immediately stood up when they noticed my presence in the room.I took a seat at the head of the table, my hands curling around the handle, and released a deep sigh as I looked at the men in the room. My eyes landed on Leonardo, whose gaze would not move from me, but before I could speak up, my Beta did.“Alpha King,” he started, drawing my attention towards him. “What are we to do about our enemies? They keep attacking the small packs.”The others began to murmur in agreement, and I stared at them blankly. “If you think I am going to do nothing about it, then why am I seated here?”The room went silent, and the Head of the Guards cleared his throat and turned to me. “We do not doubt you, Sire, but the people are scared.”“He is right, Sire,” Andrea spoke up, her voic
Lovette's POVI and Micah were ready to leave Hayden's kingdom. I opened the door, and Hayden was standing there. "Hayden..." I said his name with a smile, which he returned."I'll miss you." He said, his lips turning down, and I couldn't help but rush into his arms for a hug. "I will see you soon, brother," I mumbled, breaking the hug, and Hayden chuckled.Micah soon joined us, his right hand wrapping around my waist, and his gaze upon me."Micah." My mate turned to look at my brother, and they both looked at each other for a while before Micah chuckled. They shook hands, and Micah spoke up. "Once I get to my castle, I will send you the plans on the war. This is our battle to fight, Hayden."Hayden nodded once more, and I grabbed my mate's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, then turned to Hayden. "Be safe," he mumbled, and I smiled at him. "I will."The gates of the castle were open, and when we were outside, Micah turned to look at me. "You will ride my back."I couldn't help but bl
Micah's POVI jumped out of my seat with a sneer. Lovette grasped my hand with fear in her eyes as the walls shook again."Micah…" she whispered my name, and I bent a little and cupped her cheeks in mine."I'll protect you," I said to her and placed a kiss on her lips.I followed Hayden out of the room and asked him what was going on."The Witches are outside the castle trying to bring it down. Turns out they have destroyed a few of my villages too," he growled, and I scoffed."Been there."Guards were moving all about the halls, and the others kept running for their lives."What do we do now?" I questioned as we stopped behind the closed door that was beginning to break off.Hayden's guards had already gathered behind us, and he turned his head to look me in the eye. "Help me protect my castle."I smirked as I felt my wolf's excitement as we prepared to attack, but I knew better than to let her take over completely. I needed to stay in control and make sure I didn't do anything too r
