Darkness crashes in. And I feel nothing at all.

Sebastian Darkness. It’s all I can see. It stretches endlessly, swallowing everything — sound, color, memory. But beneath it, somewhere deep, there’s a faint echo. A heartbeat. Slow. Unsteady. Mine. Then— A flash. Laughter. Soft, breathless. Her voice. “Sebastian…” It’s distant, like a whisper under water. I reach for it, but it slips through the dark. My body feels heavy, pinned down by invisible hands. I try to move, but the world around me doesn’t exist yet. Only fragments.

It was speaking in me. "This is your future. You have to rise to prevent it." What was he talking about? Suddenly, I was plunged into complete darkness. A deep darkness unlike any I've ever seen before. And everywhere was quiet. So eerily quiet. Until a shriek cut through the darkness sending shivers through me. Then voices...followed. A mixture of different voices, chanting my name....the echoes bouncing through the darkness into my head. It was just too much. Too much "Ava! Ava!!"

Jagged stalactites hung like a crown of teeth, some slick with moisture that dripped steadily into pools below, each drop echoing like a heartbeat in the stillness. And there, at the far end of the cavern, stood the voice. A figure cloaked in shadows, its edges shifting and rippling as though it was more smoke than flesh. It had no face that I could see, no eyes to meet, but its presence pressed down on me like a storm front filled with danger, edged with hunger. The darkness around it writhed, alive, as though it were part of the figure itself.

One girl and one boy, smiles on their faces as they both let the wind sway their swings. An image of a girl with long, red, wavy hair flashed before my eyes and smiled at me, very tender and sweet like it would end my immortality. Then she collapsed into the floor. The vision went black. I couldn't see anything... it was dark... yet there were whispers. "It's her..." "Puoi permetterti di perderla?" "Take her..." "Sarà la tua morte..." I opened my eyes and sat down. My hands were shaking and I was having a hard time catching my breath due to shock. Fucking dream! No. It was a nightmare!

Lucian emerged from the darkness, becoming visible. His complexion was pale. He appeared as though he had endured hell. "What brings you here?" Clara insisted, her annoyance rising once more. "Are you complete to complete what Alexander started?" Lucian moved closer, his jaw tightening. "I didn't send Alexander. I didn't know he'd betray you."

" With that, Carter steadied Jodie by the waist and walked toward the door. Staring down at the mess scattered across the floor, I called out for the housekeeper, Hilda Lukasiak. The mansion, however, stood in eerie silence. With a sigh, I carefully picked up the shattered porcelain bowl and tossed the pieces into a nearby trash bin. Just then, a flash of lightning split the night, followed by a thunderclap that rattled the walls. Startled, I collapsed to the floor. In my panic, I tried to get to my feet, but my hand struck the jagged porcelain, leaving deep cuts along my palm. Taking a moment to steady my breath, I scrambled for my phone and called the family doctor, Frank O'Connor.

At first, it's only a faint whisper like a brush against my ear, but then it becomes louder and stronger until it's screaming, calling me home — the call of the gate. I'm not aware of the smoke and darkness surrounding me and filling the room, because right now, darkness is all I can see as my mind travels toward the call. My mind shifts through the darkness fast, black thick clouds whip past my vision. A faint orange glow is visible in the distance, and the further I go toward the call, the brighter and redder it becomes until I suddenly break through the darkness and see the flames of hell and the burning red gate covered in black soot.
