Some gave me soft, respectful smiles. Others lit up with excitement, nodding, whispering to each other, some even offering warm waves. A few stepped forward to greet me.
“It’s so good to finally have you here, Luna.”
“Welcome. We’re so happy you came to eat with us.”
“I’m Mira. If you ever need anything, just ask.”
I blinked, overwhelmed by the soft flood of attention and kindness. People smiled at me like I belonged. Like they wanted me here.
