I walked up the stairs, heading to the master bedroom and I hoped Mimi was at least asleep.
I opened the door, the room dimmed. I stared at the bed, my eyes squinting at the darkness to find Mimi's body. The lamp flickered on.
Mimi sat at the edge of the bed, draped in a sheer navy-blue robe. As she rose, a sultry smile graced her lips, and she moved toward me with deliberate steps.
"I've been waiting for you," she murmured, her voice thick with seduction. Her hands hovered over my body, teasing, but before she could go any further, I seized both her wrists, halting her movements.
