Mom said, as she shrugged. “I hate his guts,” I blurted. “What guts? The guts he had to ask you out?” Mom asked. “The guts he has to think he can get every girl he wants!” I yelled. “You can make him respect you, and maybe who knows, he might turn out to be your mate…ohh I can't wait for your birthday.” She said, a beam lighting up her face with hope. “It's still six months ahead.” I sighed, “And there's no way that jerk is going to be my mate.”
