While Lena was in the kitchen, her phone buzzed. A message from her brother, Noah. Noah: Lena, I know you said not to worry, but the landlord came again. I overheard him say he’s changing the locks this weekend if rent doesn’t come in. Are you okay?

Luckily, Noelle had driven there, so once they were done shopping, she dropped Arya off before heading back to her rented apartment. The landlord looked surprised to see Noelle. "Ms. Shaw, what brings you back all of a sudden?" She noticed the bags in Noelle's hands and hesitated. "Are you planning to move back in? Did you have a fight with your boyfriend?" The landlord knew Noelle had a boyfriend. After all, with the commotion from previous times, it was hard to miss. Though she had never met him, the landlord assumed he was someone important. Seeing Noelle return, she began to imagine all sorts of scenarios, even gazing at Noelle with a hint of sympathy.

Yet, then again, she didn't expect he would fly to England in hopes of finding Olivia either. "You can't," she whispered, trying to catch on his bluff. Nothing about him changed, so Anne let out a panicked laugh. "You wouldn't. I'm your aunt." Noah reached into his back pocket and grabbed his phone. With a swipe of his thumb, he dialled someone with such ease; it looked like he had called the number every day for years. It took about five seconds until Noah spoke to someone, "Cut off the cards and any financial support for Anne Monroe. Serve the thirty-day eviction notice today."

She slammed the counter. Mrs. Matron yawned and replied calmly. "I'm not kidding you." "Then Mrs. Manager I want to see your manager." Doona tapped the glass, her lips squeezed, and her brows furrowed at the woman. "That would be the owner of this apartment building, you know that, right?" Mrs. Matron asked, and Doona nodded furiously. She did not care who it was, be it the president; she had a bone to pick with the type of management that hired someone as unqualified as Mrs. Matron.

He rushed forward, about to announce Lia's disappearance. The doors suddenly swung open. The hall fell silent. "Lia…" my father's face went pale. "What nonsense is this?"
