She leaves me standing there and goes on reading, flipping one page after another. I stand there, clenching my hands into fists and doing my best not to let my cheerful expression change. This is exactly the sort of petty thing Rachel would do. Making me stand here and ignoring me for no good reason other than to demonstrate how superior she is.

"It's going okay, I am just going to start a new book," Stan raised an eyebrow in interest. "Really? What is it about?" He quickly took his sandwich and took a small bite. "Well, it's going to be a romantic novel. But I feel like it will be a cliche," Stan nodded as he finished his bite.

"If you're going to stay with us, you can join in and learn. Unless you feel your skills are above ours?" "Seriously?" "Yes. Take the end. Move. Burney, partner her." Burney stood and grabbed my hand, pulling me after him until I'd reached my place. I felt stupid standing there, lined up with kids that couldn't be any older than fourteen, and Burney's amused look was making it worse. "This is embarrassing," I hissed, as he positioned himself across from me. "Quiet," Stan said, giving me daggers. "Positions!" I knew it meant something, because those on my side moved into a defensive stance. I frowned, grounding my feet as best I could.

I waved to Maya near reception and headed straight to my office to drop my bag. By the time I returned to the main area, it was five minutes to nine. I poured myself a glass of milk and leaned against the counter, scrolling through emails on my phone. Nothing urgent. Just reminders and calendar updates. I took a slow sip, letting the bitterness ground me. “Riley?” I looked up. Stan stood a few feet away, hands clasped loosely in front of him, posture polite but slightly tense. He was taller than I expected, with warm brown eyes and a cautious smile.

my thoughts scolded me but I just scoffed instead . I knew what to do to this man ,I could just stand here all day . **** I had been standing for the past one hour as my legs were beginning to hue so much from standing . I knew that this man was heartless because he really had to make me stand that terrible . It was painful and I wouldn't deny that . I didn't know how much I had to stand but my legs were hurting . I was still thinking about it when the door of his room opened . The moment the door opened , a girl walked in with a cup of tea in her hands .
