I tried to compose myself before looking in his direction again. I looked back at him to already being watched by me intensely. His eyes were the most beautiful contrast I have ever seen, ocean blue with green specks at the surface. I shamelessly drooled over him, until I realized I was too late. I lowered my gaze to his chest only to witness a tattoo, a tattoo of a dragon forging from the fire; on the other side just where the heart resides, written Selene in bold capital letters. I looked away, feeling a pang jealousy from a complete stranger, all the wolves were bowing in front of us, not before us, but...

The unknown young man shouted to the girl. “Stop this, both of you!” Tohya shouted at the same exact moment that the young man did. Yuri can only stare at the young man before noticing the black butterfly tattoo on the side of his neck, and her gaze went down to his left hand where there was a Hati bracelet wound around his wrist with the Roman numeral of two engraved on the silver crescent moon pendant. ‘A Phantom? Alarich lowers his head in submission "I speak to you not only as your humble servant, but as a friend. If you don't perform your duty, despite you being above the law. Our kingdom will be emboldened and a potential unnecessary rebellion could be on our hands" My mark. To humans it looks like a tattoo all over my left side. It starts from my bite scar, above my left breast. Black vines and flowers trail from it, down my side and wrapping around my leg to my foot. Then it trails up my chest, along the side of my neck, swirling and wrapping down my arm and ending at the tip of my ring finger.

"A new tattoo? I'm in." Noah was more solemn. "It is a vow. Not just of love, but of rule. A promise etched in skin." Elias was there, to guide the magic. Using a blend of Dawnfire silver and pack-gold pigment, he worked on each of us. The old mate mark, the single sun, did not vanish. It became the center of something new. On my chest, the sun was now embraced by a crescent moon (for Neal's spirit) and was rooted by a winding, flowering vine (for my growth and lineage).
