Delia stared at her intently, with that characteristic mix of curiosity and mischief.
“Come on, Naty, don’t give me the runaround. You know how I am.”
Natalia sighed and, after a brief silence, nodded with a barely perceptible gesture. Delia’s eyes lit up like a little girl’s at Christmas, and she let out a stifled squeal. She immediately began bouncing in her seat like a jack-in-the-box.
“Please, behave yourself!” whispered Natalia, placing a finger over her lips and glancing toward the common area where several employees were working.
