she shrugs, "We just finished a huge campaign before you arrived. And we're about to shoot another one, but everything is set already. You caught us at a very chill moment.” "What’s the new one about?" I listen to her talk about skincare and her sisters for about ten minutes, just nodding along and trying not to fall asleep. { Anastasia } It's been one full week since Bram Kent started working at Bloom Beauty and I've developed a very serious problem. I can't stop thinking about him. Every time I hear his voice outside my office, my stomach does a backflip. And I'm starting to swoon over him doing the most basic of shit.

"Yvonne, there's still a project to wrap up at work. I have to fly overseas this afternoon." He hung up immediately after. See? He didn't even bother to come up with a new excuse anymore. And to think I used to believe him so foolishly. I opened WhatsApp, about to type a reply—when a notification came in for a new post on Instagram. It was a photo of him and Willow. "Off to attend my husband's uncle's engagement party as a little family of three! So excited for a proper family dinner!" Just as I was about to comment, it showed as hidden—not visible to me anymore.

Suspiring she brushed all the conceptualization aside and went towards Noah and being mindful of her walking towards him, Noah looked towards Sophia wearing ankle length black pants paired with a white Croatia top and hairs tied in a pony. Looking at her hazel eyeballs, Noah passed her his biggest grin from eye to eye and as Sophia reached him, she wished him. “Hello sir.” “Hey sweetest. I have something for you.” Saying so he went back to his car and reoccurred with a bouquet in his hand of Calla Lilly and Acanthus flowers. “For the most pulchritudinous bloom in the garden.” And he left Sophia bereft of speech, who taking it from his hand replied to him “Thank you sir.”

"You smell awful." His expression shifted. He lowered his head, sniffed himself, then chuckled. "It's the roses. I've been thinking about our anniversary, so I went to the rose garden again today. I'll go take a shower." I couldn't be bothered to expose his lie. After all, he'd said he was going to the office earlier. When he got out of the shower, he lay down beside me. But just as I was drifting off, the sound of his phone woke me.

Apart from a couple of texts from her close friends, the rest of them were all from Magnus desperately admitting his mistakes and begging for forgiveness. Before she even had time to read them, her attention was captured by the trending topics. [Mrs. Harett of the Harett Corporation leads a scandalous life.] [Mrs. Harett has many questionable relationships with men in high-end clubs…] There were videos attached to the posts and had been pre-processed and blurred, so it made her look more sultry and gave off the impression that she had done something immoral with the men she was running away from. The comment sections were filled with people ridiculing her.

"With a family like mine, I'm not worthy of you, Caleb. So yeah... 'Mrs. Gorman'? I'll pass. Give it to whoever you think fits better." A flicker of panic crossed Caleb's eyes. "Mira, that's not what I meant—" He didn't get to finish. Holly stood, walked straight over. White strapless gown. Full skirt. Flawless makeup. She looked like a second bride. She stopped between us, fake surprise all over her face. "Mira, you're not seriously mad over something this small, are you?" I glanced at her. Said nothing. She rolled her eyes, annoyed. "Why are you so petty? It's just a few photos. That's how we joke. Keep this up, Caleb's friends won't like you."

She only needed to drop off her projects before the ceremony. After finishing breakfast, her mother roused the younger children, and soon her father emerged, dressed and ready to eat. Once they were done, Flora Amor rushed to bathe. “Hey, Ate! The mirror’s about to crack with the way you’re staring at yourself!” Hanna yelled when she saw how long her sister had been in front of it. “Shut up. This is my moment,” Flora Amor retorted with a grin. She dabbed on a touch of lipstick and pressed powder. She wanted Dixal to see her beautiful all day long. Instead of leaving her waist-length straight hair loose, she tied it back in a ponytail for a change.

They kissed with abandon, like lovers seizing their final moments before the apocalypse. I watched the soap opera scene play out in front of me, my stomach churning. Everyone in town knew Trevin was my Achilles' heel. For him, I, the pampered heiress who never lifted a finger, awkwardly took up cooking, bending over backward to please him. I even endured the punishment from my furious granddad, all to be his bride. I poured my heart out to Trevin, never expecting to be repaid with betrayal. "Yara, are you blind? You're just standing there like a statue," Trevin snapped, his eyes brimming with annoyance.

I didn’t even need to look; I’d already clocked the man crouching behind the ridiculous fake flowers, holding his phone at a crooked angle. One punch, and the phone — and his skull — would both shatter. But Noah… Noah was pulling something raw and violent out of me. Kellan leaned in slightly closer, whispering for my ears only, “And remember what I told you. Noah just hugged Crystal in public. He’s probably all over the blogs already. The internet needs a fiancé, J. And the safest option is standing right in front of her. All we have to do is introduce the idea calmly.”

"I heard a rumour you’d gone soft. That you’d traded your masterpiece for a... domestic arrangement." Franco smiled, a sharp, incredibly cold expression. "I simply upgraded the management, Isabella. May I introduce my wife, Lolita. The new Sovereign of the Bloom."
