I tell Tabitha, taking a sip of my vodka tonic, “How did you find out about it? I wouldn’t even have noticed it existed if you hadn’t pointed it out.”
“‘I’m glad you like it,” she replies happily, “I’ve known Tony since grade school, if you can believe it. We grew up together, and we’ve been best friends for as long as I can remember. When we graduated high school, I became a Beta and he started tending bar here. Now he owns it. Pretty great, right?”
“It is pretty great,” I reply, admiring the tasteful painting of flowers by the register, “Tony has incredible taste! In bars, and in people.”
