I didn’t want him to pick me so why did I get this dreadful feeling each time I thought about him picking anyone else. I was brought back to my senses when the Luna announced she would begin with the girls ranked nine. Kai still had not picked his mate and I was beginning to think he may be waiting for Santana after all. When the Luna called her name I waited to hear Kai speak up, but he didn’t. At least four men did speak up to claim Santana as their own. I wasn’t surprised she had shamelessly flirted with all of them. It was when a familiar voice spoke up from the back of the crowd that all others went silent. I let out a gasp when Kade, Kassius’ older brother, made his way to the front.

"But why..," I asked. I wanted to meet the master behind this masterpiece. "I don't know but that's how sometimes Rachel is..," "Wait, Rachel…." Did he mention Rachel, or something else? "Yeah, it's one of Rachel's original," He said, this time with a smile.

"I am Veronica Vane. I am your one and only true Queen and Herald. No impostor can bring me down to the ground." I flew in front of Elspeth and whispered to her ear, "Even you, Elspeth… don’t have the capability to overpower me."

"Monica, come with me." "I don't see a reason why Monica should go with you," Rick opposed, as he held Monica's hand firmly, preventing her from leaving. "Monica is the only person who knows where Tiana's medications are," Tony fired back, still carrying Tiana in his hand. "Besides, I don't know the required dosage."
