5 Years Later, I Returned With His Heirs

5 Years Later, I Returned With His Heirs

This one was different. Four words. A period. He'll always come back home. I read it standing at my dressing table, still in the clothes I'd worn to dinner, phone in hand. Home. As though the penthouse belonged to her. As though seventeen days since a storm and a study and ten seconds that had changed the geometry of my ninety-day plan had been an interruption in a longer story she already knew the ending of. As though Vivian Cross had been patiently waiting while I'd been busy constructing alternative explanations for a photograph taken outside the Meridian Hotel.

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The sun was high now, its light a warm, golden oil that washed over the landscape, erasing the last of the silver smoke that had lingered in the hollows. "Volume Five," I murmured, leaning my head against his shoulder. "No," Xander said, pulling me into his arms, his grip firm and real, holding me against the vastness of a world that had no borders. "Not Volume Five, Sara. The volumes are over. This is just tomorrow." As the wind shifted from the north, a small, white feather drifted down from the clear sky, landing softly upon the open page of the leather book we had left by the hearth.

She Runs with Wolves

She Runs with Wolves

To feel – really feel – again was a blessing, and, though I didn’t understand it, or why it had happened to me, or how long it would last for, I did know that, had it been the other way around, my envy would have been written plainly on my face for all to see. And I didn’t even want to be human so badly as Kathrena did. “I wonder why,” she murmured. Then she opened the book to the right page, sitting up straighter. “Anyway. Look at this. Hopefully this is all you’ll need to convince Aradia and the Clan that Skye isn’t a threat to us.” She pushed it towards me, and I chewed on my lip, relishing secretly at the press of my warm skin. It was the very same book that I’d seen in her bedroom, with

Swanne Lake
Such an exciting read so far! I am enjoying getting to know our main characters and discovering how their lives have come together while trying to anticipate what might happen next as each chapter is released. Having just finished the entirety of The Beta’s Daughter, this author is an amazing writer
Susan
A fantastic second novel, with a refreshingly different tone from the previous entry. The mythologies in this are very well developed and I am very excited to see how the story unfolds! The protagonist and her love interest and very engaging too and I am rooting hard for them!

The Five-Year Scam

The Five-Year Scam

Five years of humiliation and five years of being less than a person… Had I even been like a human to them? “You two! Check that side!” Voices echoed from the yard. They were closing in. I snapped back to myself and tore down the mountain path as fast as my legs would carry me. Back in the city, I flagged down the first cab I could find and went straight home, to the place Melissa and I once called home. My steps froze when I pushed open the study door, it was filled with monitors, all displaying live feeds of the estate. Every room, every path, and even the stable that I’d slept in for five years, were displaying right in the middle of the screen.

Breaking the Alpha's curse

Breaking the Alpha's curse

Jane’s POV “The book of life isn't a single book?” I voiced my thoughts, unable to hold it in anymore. With everything they had been saying, it wasn't just the truth anymore, it was layers of truth. Secrets buried beneath secrets. As we uncovered one, we found another. And it made everything more complicated. “The Book of Life isn’t just one,” Liam said, his voice steady but serious. “There are five.” Five? My eyes widened in shock as the number echoed in my head.

After Five Years

After Five Years

He bit his lip, as if holding back something. "I made a huge mistake leaving you. I thought I only loved Lena, only loved the heart that was in your body. But I was wrong. I love you. I have fallen in love with you. You are the one I love, not Lena's heart. Please, come back to me." My breath caught. The words I had once longed to hear now felt like a wound that had been reopened. I stared at him sharply. "Five years ago, I was merely a shadow of your past. What makes you think I would come back?"

Five Years His Secret, Now Someone Else’s Bride

Five Years His Secret, Now Someone Else’s Bride

I took a few deep breaths, fighting back the stabbing pain in my chest, and shakily got to my feet. “It’s a new day, Evangeline. Six days left. Then you can leave.” Then the pain would stop. I kept repeating the number, using it as an anchor to keep from drowning. At 4 a.m., the sound of the lock turning startled me awake. Orion was back. He reeked of stale liquor and another woman’s perfume. He stumbled through the darkness toward the bedroom. The moment his body came near me, I instinctively clutched the covers and scrambled away.

Rejected: The Alpha's Fatal Mistake

Rejected: The Alpha's Fatal Mistake

Two territories north, Wren read hers in the small cabin that had somehow, over five years, grown into a proper pack house, and felt something in her chest do the exact same thing, though neither of them, obviously, could have known that. Five years of careful distance, five years of half-answered rumors and buried certainties, and a single piece of parchment was about to undo all of it in one room, in front of every pack that mattered, whether either of them was ready for that or not. Neither of them was ready. Neither of them, in the end, was going to get a choice about it.
