Scars of Love

Scars of Love

The girl in the mirror standing opposite me was a girl broken and recombined with the improper pieces. "Pathetic," I muttered to myself. And I grinned. Cold, empty thing that it was, with no regard for the girl that once was me. Because what I discovered, Jake and Cassandra didn't kill me. Victoria didn't, either. They just provided justification for waking the hell up. I removed my makeup and cotton brushes wiped away like discarding the old me. I looked again and caught sight of something new in my eyes. Peace of anger. Hunger. "No more tears," I told myself. "Time they're sorry for all of this."

Scarred Love

Scarred Love

One was in the bathtub and the others were assisting her in her bath. Agnes silently let them scrub her back and wash her body. She sat in the bathtub without moving and letting them do their work. After a while, they made her stand and dressed her up. She felt like she was in an 80's movie that features the life of royalty. Agnes watched her bare self in the reflection of the mirror. The scars that fade away was now replaced by a new and fresh one. Her eyes wandered around her body until they found the oldest one near her stomach.

Scarred by fate

Scarred by fate

Aiden looks like he might be sick, while Jasper and Marcus both look pissed. I turn back to Zahra just as she stands up straight, and I finally see what they’re staring at. Her back is covered in angry red and white scars, crisscrossing into a horrible lattice over her skin. My stomach churns at the sight. I knew her father had hurt her, but this is the first time I’m seeing the damage with my own eyes. I watch the realization dawn in her expression, and the look on her face nearly breaks me. Stepping forward, I try to ease her anxiety, wanting to brush this off for her sake. “Hey, little one. It’s good to see you enjoying yourself after this morning. How are you feeling?”

Painted Pearls

Painted Pearls

Liziwe said not a word, but continued to stare unblinkingly, her mouth set in a firm, downward line. The month of confinement had not been kind. Her face had grown sallow and drawn; her bright eyes dull. The blow to her cheek had only begun to heal, leaving a shining, ripe scar in its place. It drew the eye, and made Susan cringe to look at it. And though one day it might fade, it could never be erased entirely: for there, upon her face, she would carry the reminder of that day, forever and always.

Beautiful Scars

Beautiful Scars

" She... She re-opened dad's case? Why? Isn't she the one who told me that I should stop fighting against that invisible enemy of us? Why would she... Do this?" I stood up even if I feel like I would fall in any moment. I accidentally passed by a mirror and saw my scar. The memories that I buried six feet under the ground starts to flash like a flood. The screams in pain, the culprit's laugh, dad's cry in pain, our maids' shouts, and my cries. God, I need to stop this again. If this kept on flashing back, I'll lost myself again. And I don't want that to happen.

Dragon Queen.

Dragon Queen.

Mare threw her hand over her mouth to stifle the gasp that threatened to fall. She couldn’t believe it. She took more steps forward, grateful for the shadows that shielded her. Perci had tied his hair up to prevent it from interfering with what he did. Mare moved close enough to see without being discovered. Her eyes widened. The prince’s naked back was covered in scars. They were not battle scars or scars one could get from training or from the recklessness of childhood. These were intentional deeply etched scars. Some were old and others were fresh and oozing blood and water.

The Alpha’s Omega Mate

The Alpha’s Omega Mate

Not only did silver give us physical pain, but it also made scars if it was exposed to our raw flesh. I knew without looking that my body was covered in thin white scars on my stomach and thick lash marks on my back. They were layered, they where interchangeable. My body was a canvas with pictures carved into my skin. Pictures, that when depicted, were the face of anguish. I was a painting titled ‘pain and suffering’. I was a collage of torture and tears. Yet somehow I still had life left in me. And I had to revenge.

Hello Author Alice….. please reply me…. I have been reading your book alpha’s omega mate… but there is a huge confusion. In the chapter ‘dinner together’ there is no mention of rinah and blair. It’s zoey and Damien. And the storyline shifts from her being an omega to a human. kindly, fix this.thanks

The Masked Symphony of Mrs. Luther

he retorted, a hint of confusion tainting his voice. "Well, typically, scars that have been present for over a decade tend to gradually fade due to metabolic processes," Gwyneth replied, recalling the scar she had observed at the hospital. She was certain she hadn't misjudged it. Elizabeth's scar couldn't be more than a few years old at most. Furthermore, burns and scalds affected muscles differently, with scalds generally healing faster.

The Demon Queen's Desire

The Demon Queen's Desire

There were burns, bullet scars, more knife and claw wounds, and, amid it all, the scar from her surgery. Madison turned and he got a clear view of her back which had the addition of some sort of scarring that looked like a dotted line. Her neck had a stab mark which dragged to the middle of her back. “I’m The Phantom. You can’t do my job without getting hurt. If I thought I left evidence behind, I would burn the place. It took a while before I was good enough to not have to worry. I heal like a demon, but I scar like a human.” She pulled her glamour back on. “I’m able to make myself pretty, so I do. Ready to eat, or did that ruin your appetite?”
