Sasha POV The cold that runs through out my body is one I've never felt before in all the years I've lived in the always chaotic city of Portland Oregon. I open my eyes being met with a darkness I've also never known and it chills my already chilled bones. I try to move my hands only to fail feeling them bound in front of me with frayed rope that’s cut into my skin making it sting, my voice rises from deep with in my chest as I scream out for help.

But it wasn't a normal human skeleton.

My body had never been cremated. The excavation workers, afraid of taking responsibility, secretly reported it to the police. That unintentional act became my greatest stroke of luck. I murmured, turning the thick page to reveal a two-page spread of a terrifying canine skeleton. "The bones in these drawings are elongated to support an unnatural muscle mass, and the fangs are way too large for a regular timber wolf," I pointed out the impossible biology. I leaned closer to read the handwritten notes scribbled in the margins, and the dark words made my stomach twist into a cold knot. "You are starting to scare the shit out of me," Connor admitted quietly. "The notes detail specific bone densities and healing rates, and the text describes the creatures shifting their actual skeletal structure under extreme distress," I read aloud.

Then, a skeleton wearing a sharp helmet slowly climbed up from the swamp. Compared to the human skeleton, the skeleton's arm was longer. If it completely hung down, it would reach the knee. At this time, the skeleton stood on the swamp and turned around as if it was looking around. After a while, it faced one direction, stood still, and slowly straightened its chest. This action was like a person breathing deeply. It was more like someone announcing his return. He raised the hand. A ball of blue phosphorus fire condensed in the skeleton's palm.

The dismembered skeletons healed instantly and became stronger. After they returned to normal, they attacked Philip and the others with everything they had.
