The Billionaire’s Debt Bride

The Billionaire’s Debt Bride

I had no money, no options and no one to call. On Tuesday evening, when Lucien Cross appeared at my apartment door at 6 p.m., holding a manila folder. "I have a proposal," he'd said. Now here I was. "My family's debt," I force out. "All $3.2 million cleared immediately?" "Upon signing." Lucien taps one finger on the desk. "Your father's medical expenses are covered. Your mother's therapy was funded. Your sister's education paid in full. The apartment in Riverside District is already secured in your parents' name, your debts with the loan sharks are all cleared off."

or the Thorne bank accounts. "You owe me, remember?" I whispered, my thumb tracing the hard line of his cheek. "The Billionaire’s Debt. You don't get to die in a sewer and leave me with the bill. You're going to get up, and you're going to crawl until I tell you to stop. Do you hear me?" A slow, pained smile touched his lips, a ghost of the Shark returning to the surface. "You’re... remarkably bossy... for a thief."

The Debt of Blood

"Third grade. For a pair of 80-dollar pants. Swept the floor 120 times at 50 cents each time. Washed dishes 120 times at 20 cents each. Total: 80 dollars. Note: Pants not purchased. Funds confiscated. "Eighth grade. Emergency appendicitis surgery. Debt: 3,800. To repay, I did all household chores for the entire ninth-grade year, valued at 100 dollars per month. Total: 1,200. The remaining 2,600 was paid off with New Year's gift money and recycling earnings. "Senior year. Fainted and hospitalized. Debt: 600. Repaid with summer job wages." Page by page, I turned through it. The crowd gradually fell silent.

Claimed by havoc

A debt agreement: Marco Petrov—debtor. Tristan Kozlov—creditor. Amount owed: twenty million euros. I blink once. There’s no way. Twenty million? Marco could never owe that kind of money. He can't even settle that huge debt. Unless… my breathing becomes uneven as I turn to the next page with trembling hands. Settlement record: Debtor unable to pay, alternative proposal attached. The document is attached with a single paper clip. My vision blurs; my hand clenches by my side until it begins to hurt.

(Not) His Sugar Baby

Rose immediately put down her cell phone on the bed, rushing quickly towards the source of the shout. "What else did you come here for?" asked Rose when the door opened, revealing the two debt collectors who had come to take her money a few weeks ago. "Your debt must be paid today!" Without further ado, one of them handed Rose a paper detailing Aunt Rosita's debts from top to bottom, along with two percent interest per day. "These debts must be paid today!" The shaved head, who had been silent, now began to speak loudly. "You can't do that, the deadline is still a year away. You can't just come and loot money," Rose said unhappily. Where would she get the money to pay off that much debt in o

ONE NIGHT WITH MY HUSBAND’S BROTHER

ONE NIGHT WITH MY HUSBAND’S BROTHER

She had only been bottling it all up, trying to appear calm and put together for herself, her friends and most importantly, her kids. A tiny part of her inner turmoil had slipped out when she had seen those Pink Camilla flowers on her doorstep, and she had gone all hulk mode on the poor plants, destroying them with so much anger and violence that shocked her friends. Thank goodness her kids didn’t see that. That was just a tiny slip, but if she actually did the math of the gigantic debt on her neck, she would snap. Completely. And it would be ugly. Chase continued, his deep rich voice filling the silence, “I am not at the top of the chain of cutthroat business tycoons for nothing, Mackenzie.

The Debt Collector

The Debt Collector

Why didn’t he think about the consequences before borrowing all that money from him? Alex shoved the barrel of his gun in his mouth. “You had exactly 155 days to pay off this debt. Today is day 157, which means I was more than generous since I granted you two extra days. And now you are telling me you have no money? Tell me why I should let you live?” James stared at him wide-eyed as he waited for his answer. Oh right, he can’t speak since his mouth was full. Alex took the barrel out and placed it on James’s temple. There, now he can speak.

This was horrible. Saoirse was dumb and stupid. Alex was an asshole. What is wrong with you all liking this crap. That this book has won best book is very disturbing and says a lot about the bookcrap that is on this app.
Kathleen
I don’t get the good reviews on this book, it’s an ok book but it needs editing but a part from it’s rather predictably. I only read halve of the book because it was too boring. The 5 stars are only to have this review visually.

A Spoonful of Sugar: Don’t Beg for Love

A Spoonful of Sugar: Don’t Beg for Love

Her eyes brightened, and she appeared more composed. "How much did you borrow?" There was no point hiding the information, as Hesper could easily obtain the exact figure by calling Matthew. Bacchus stammered and replied, "If you add various amounts here and there, it would be less than $30 million." "$30 million!" Dianthe exclaimed, her eyes widening. She had known her father might have borrowed money to support their business, and while it wouldn't be a small sum, she had assumed they could repay it eventually. However, borrowing $30 million, with no intention of repayment, was entirely different.
