Are you sick?” That barrage of questioning added a red tint to Pepper’s cheeks. She brushed her hair away from her face and smiled. “No. It was just hot inside the van.”

I have a feeling Pepper will be another story. After she takes her seat, I whisper into her mind, "Hold on," as I plunge over the edge. I'm expecting to hear her scream and it's a few moments before I realize I won't hear it. What's wrong with me? How could I forget something so basic? It saddens me that I have no idea what she's feeling because I'm unable to read her expressions while she rides.
