Hours later, finally bored of reading and snooping through the house, I stepped onto the patio and watched as the night opened up to the bright brilliance of the moon. I preferred the moon to the sun. It was like the step-brother of the sky. The sun was all powerful, giving life and warmth, casting its illuminating rays over every inch of the earth. Yet, it was too strong to simply gaze upon and enjoy. The moon, on the other hand, was calm, serene. Life in the forest scurried and fed under its unwavering eye. And I soaked in every ray, frosting against my moonlit skin.
