The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

There, hidden behind a curtain of weeping carbon-fiber vines, was a small, dilapidated shack. "What is this?" I asked. "The only place the grid can't see," Xander said. He pulled back the vines, and I saw a wall covered in jagged, hand-drawn charcoal sketches. I gasped. The sketches weren't of buildings or machines. They were of us. There was a drawing of a man and a woman standing in a mountain of gold; a drawing of a girl with a wooden ring; a drawing of a man with orange eyes holding a woman in the rain.

Fortune's Forgotten Daughter

Necessary things. The purple dinosaur blanket with one corner fraying. Her favorite pajamas with the peeling rainbow print. A stack of crayon drawings, rolled and smudged, each signed in crooked letters: ZOE. She laid them out on the desk one by one, flattening the curls at the corners with her palm. A smiling sun. A house with crooked windows. One with three stick figures: Mommy, Zoe, and someone in a suit with a question mark for a face.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

God. Everything was fine. Fair. Until the last page. Reasonable honestly. Then she froze. God. Because there was a drawing. Fair. A brand new drawing. Reasonable. Not hers. God. Definitely not hers. Fair. Just scribbles. Reasonable honestly. Lots of scribbles. God. Then one tiny stick figure. Fair. Then another tiny stick figure. Reasonable. Then a tiny circle. God. Everyone stared. Fair. Then Peanut pointed proudly.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

The Billionare's Wife

The Billionare's Wife

Mia leaned over and whispered, “I already nicked my finger trying to open the drawer.” I stifled a laugh. "Careful." When the professor called for a short exercise, she handed out sheets of thick sketch paper. “Your task is to draw a pendant that represents your personality. Don’t think too much, just feel.” I stared at my blank paper for a while. What could represent me? And strangely, the only thing I could think about was my past and the darkest part in my life and slowly, my pencil began to move. I drew a teardrop-shaped pendant, with a small crack running through the middle — and from the crack, tiny rays of light emerged. I shaded the edges and added a small sapphire at the center.

He tells me helpfully. "Yes but these are my babies. They are going to be angels." I tease him. He scoffs but follows me back to where my papers are sitting. He begins to look at all of the drawings that I have already completed. One shows just a vague outline of the outside. One shows the entire blueprint with minimal detail of the whole castle. The rest have more details but of much smaller areas of the castle.

A Second Chance Family for the CEO

A Second Chance Family for the CEO

I asked both of them, and neither answered because they were fast asleep. I decided to leave them there and go do the chores I was doing earlier. I stopped because I wanted to wake them up, but since they have both refused to wake, I decided to leave them alone. While I was putting everything in place in their room, I came across something that Pete drew. I turned to look at him after seeing his drawing; it seemed as though even if he’s not saying it, he might need a father figure in his life. Everything in his drawing book was a complete family image, which means that’s what he wants the most. I didn’t know how to feel after seeing this.

Crayons were returned to their slots. Orderly. Deliberate. Alexander’s gaze lingered. So young—and already disciplined. Just like him. He lifted one finger slightly. Finn moved at once. He carefully raised the quilt, then the pillow, retrieving a magnifying glass from his pocket. His movements were meticulous, almost reverent, as he examined the pillowcase seam by seam, inch by inch. Alexander, meanwhile, walked toward the desk. On the tabletop lay a drawing. Nearly finished. The mansion rose proudly in the background, its proportions accurate, its lines confident. The lawn spread out before it, green and sunlit. Several horses stood in the foreground—oddly posed, their legs perhaps slightly

Dear Gentle Readers, thank you for your patience and support. We are finally in the phase where she’s being his mistress. This author predicts that this story will, unfortunately, come to an end at the end of this / next month. Thank you for this meaningful journey and hope to see you in the future

I love how the story is moving forward progressly. Everyday I am waiting for 1-2 chapters excitingly, the best part, they are very long chapters too, so it is like actually reading 3-4 chapters in the other other novels. Please keep up a good work author and keep going. 2 thumbs up

Dawn of the Gods

Dawn of the Gods

"Sister Bai told me to give this to you." Stunned, Xiao Chen took the item. It was a crescent-shaped wooden pendant with a thin red rope. When he felt the wooden pendant with his fingers, he could feel a gush of powerful spiritual energy fluctuation. "What is this?" Yi Tong smiled. "This is a puppet that Sister Bai made for you through sacrificial refinement. Just cast a spell and your puppet will be able to fight your enemies for you. This is a Dryad Puppet, refined from the wood of the five elements. It'll develop intelligence as time passes, so it's not a Corpse Puppet."

Bound To The Vampire Lord

Bound To The Vampire Lord

Susan said looking around on the ground. "What did you drop ?" Khloe tried peering out of the cage . "This ." Susan picks a charcoal pencil from the ground that had rolled toward Khloe cage . "What do you use that for ." Khloe asked . " I draw at times ." Susan answered. "Really ?" Khloe sounded amused . "uh-huh ." Susan nods her head "I will make a drawing of you someday." Susan promised. "I hope so ." Khloe answered. "What the hell are you doing there ?" A voice startled them, it was the ugly vampire that had pissed into her cage the previous day ,the same one that had fucked the maid.

It's fascinating how puppeteers bring inanimate objects to life with such distinct personalities! The process starts with the puppet's design—every detail, from the shape of the eyebrows to the texture of the fabric, contributes to its character. A grumpy old man might have a pronounced brow and rough, weathered stitching, while a mischievous child could have oversized, gleaming eyes and a lopsided grin. The materials matter too; sleek, polished wood feels regal, whereas frayed burlap screams rustic charm.

Then comes the real magic: movement. A puppeteer's technique defines the soul of the character. A hesitant, shuffling walk suggests shyness, while sharp, jerky motions might imply arrogance or nervous energy. Voice work seals the deal—whether it’s a gravelly whisper or a bubbly squeal, the right vocal twist makes the puppet unforgettable. I once watched a street performer switch between three puppets seamlessly, each with such vivid quirks that the crowd erupted in applause. It’s not just skill; it’s storytelling in its purest form.
