Rafe Cameron Collage Novels & Stories

Rafe came to me three months after the choice, in the late afternoon on a day when Dominic was at a council meeting and the house was quiet. He knocked on the door of the room I now used as an office—my maps spread across the walls, the pack territory coming into clearer relief with every week of work—and he looked like himself, which was to say he looked like someone who had done the internal work and was on the other side of it, not unchanged but real. "I want to talk to you," he said. "About Cael. About some things I should have told you earlier."

He cannot find the words to say and the only thing that he wanted to is graduate and helps his sick grandmother. The library is silent as usual but this silence is making his heart jump every time his feet are taking him to that spot. He looks to his phone and the only thing he knew is he needs to sign that. He is afraid and he don't wanted his mother to know this. He needs to solve this discreetly! He gaze to the table where there is a clipped folder on it. Sam rush and when he sees a logo of the CAM he knew it is what the CEO is talking about.

My breath left me slowly. "Rafael Belmont, Alpha of the North Crescent Pack, has stepped back into the public eye after five years of complete silence. Upon his return six months ago, he founded the Belmont Companies, growing its stock by three hundred and sixty percent. He is set to take the position of Alpha Chairman this month and will launch a new company this week." The anchor's voice faded into background noise. I hadn't thought about Rafael Belmont in years. I'd tried very hard not to. And yet here he was, filling the screen like he'd never left, like five years was nothing, like I hadn't spent the better part of my teenage years completely undone by the thought of him.

Killian took out his phone from his pocket. "Killian," I murmured his name as a warning not to try to piss Rafe off. "Is there something you want, my love?" Killian shifted his focus to me. "No, not at all, go ahead." "Miserable huh?" Rafe asked with a raising eyebrow. "Anyways, you're right after all. My email is RafeOrton99 at g***l.com. Send it straight to my P****l." Some minutes later with Killian on his phone tapping and clicking, a notification sound was heard from...that should be Rafe's phone.

Coffee went cold. I returned to our house despite the restrictions. The place still carried the scent of lemon and spice. I moved quickly. Clothes. Documents. Essentials. I didn’t look at anything long enough to feel it. Cole drove us to Rafe’s apartment after that. It hadn’t been lived in for three months. Not since Rafe was admitted to the hospital. He’s twenty-two. Still hasn’t found his mate. He used to joke about being unlucky. Now he’s bedridden. Two days before the trial, I go to see him.

We all stare at him. He lets out a deep breath. “I probably shouldn’t say anything since he doesn’t know about it himself yet, but Rafe is going to be heading to San Francisco, Damien explains. “What? No…” I shake my head. “No! Come on, we just got this thing working!”
