Everyone who got slapped by his sharp tail dropped to the ground, either bleeding or a corpse. I tried to convince Mr. James and Randolph to stop the battle. But none of them listened to me anymore. My wolf even got a slap by Eric's tail which resulted in me stumbling to the ground a few times. As the last of the werewolves retreated, I stumbled forward, tears streaming down my face. Jackson caught me, holding me up as I sobbed. "Why are you still here, Jackson?" I asked him before I gritted my teeth when my body was burning all over. My eyes could even see how deep the cut in my left rib was.

Whoa, he’s going to strip?” River and Sage shared a curious look as they sized Austin up. “No one is stripping!” I shouted. “Why would your son need to, as he calls it, strip?” I questioned, looking at Hale. “When a werewolf shifts to their wolf, their human clothes are torn. Austin is being crass about it, but he would need to undress to avoid ripping his clothes.” Hale explained.

The warriors drop the offending flesh to the grass, and a moment of utter silence falls. Helios lifts his nose towards the sky and howls, and the entire pack, myself included, joins him.

One of them had managed to scratch it. I froze. Slowly, I looked down at the ruined fabric. My new designer shirt! My head snapped up and my eyes darkened with rage. "You just made the worst mistake of your life." Quickly, I grabbed the wolf responsible and, with one quick movement, snapped its neck. The sickening crack echoed through the woods as its lifeless body dropped to the ground. The remaining wolves hesitated, sensing the shift in energy.
