Ninety two *Freya* Rafe looked so vulnerable lying there, his handsome face unnaturally pale, dark lashes fanned out against his sculpted cheekbones. Tears prickled my eyes as I stared at him. I'd always found him breathtaking, but now, with the knowledge of what he'd risked for me, what he'd sacrificed, he'd never seemed more beautiful. Or more beyond my reach. Rafe was everything I'd ever wanted. Strong, brave, compassionate. A true leader who inspired loyalty in all those around him. His people adored him, and with good reason. And even as anxiety still rolls within me, I can’t help the smile that bursts onto my face. No one is surprised at his taking first - Rafe has stayed at the top of the list this entire time, and as Dominic Sinclair’s son and near-identical replica, he was sort of a shoe-in for the spot. But I’m prouder than all of them, because he’s my big brother – and as much as Rafe made it look easy, he worked his ass off for this his whole life. Rafe deserves it, and I couldn’t be happier or prouder of him. My eyes well with tears even as I cheer for my brother, because I wish mom and dad were here to see it. That’s not allowed, of course, but still.

Camila The taste of cold lemonade filled my tastebuds as I gazed over the beach. It has only been a week since we've been in Italy, and it wasn't all that bad. Elijah wasn't a total scum as I thought, but I will never let my guard down. But Rafe is in University, older than my sister. Something that bothers my dad, but not when his daughter, is so happy with him. Rafe is an Italian, who moved to London, a few months ago. He and my sister met, typically at a club night. And they clicked. With his Italian tan, brown shaggy hair, and grey eyes, he swept my sister easily from her feet. It was not even a week and they were already dating. He treats her well and keeps her happy. Not only that, but with his charming pearly, white teeth smile, and smooth talk, he won everyone, including me.

Rafaele interrupted Rain who glared at him. "Anyways Damien likes to act like he is perfect all the time but he isn't, he keeps strutting around like he is all that." Rain told Ring, a look of distaste on his face. "Maybe he is all that." Rafaele interjected. "He isn't" "well at least he does his duties rather than laze around all day" "He just does it to show off" Rafaele put his hands together in a pleading motion. "Please Rain do your duties and be a show off too"

“Dave knows everyone here, but this is Rachel, Saoirse’s girl, and the ones with gray eyes are the Graycort family I’ve told you about. Ray, Sarina, Kamron, and my lovely Kimia. Then the birthday girl is Kam’s girlfriend, and general shifter, Rose.” “I have never met a general shifter before. Pleasure,” Rafe charmed. I could tell that Rina, Rose, and Kimi were intrigued by the blond bloodsucker. He’d do this at the bar all the time. Hell, even Rachel was giving him some friendly looks. “Guys, this is my dad, Rafe Sanguinario. He’s a vampire,” Dave said, and he sounded a bit proud. Kam grinned at Dave. “Yeah, you totally take after your mother.”

As awful as the quality is, there's a dead-on shot of my face right before Rafe leaps into action. The question, then, is who will see this? Is this juicy enough for any of the celebrity gossip blogs to pick up? Or for people who work in this industry to seek out? Rafe has a reputation for being a player. And as far as I know, he isn't cheating on anyone. He probably shouldn't have grabbed the guy with the cell phone, but it's not like he was arrested for assault. I'm thinking - hoping - that this is just ordinary enough to pass under the radar. Everyone is focused on Luca and Dante right now because of Cataclysm: Earth.

The room feels brighter just with her presence, and all my apprehension evaporates in her warm energy. “This is Christobel, a Gamma within Io. And the woman who raised me,” Rafe muses, his forced smile softening into a genuine one as he gazes lovingly at the older woman. She raised him, but he didn’t call her mother. I wonder what the story is there. Come to think of it, I know very little about Rafe outside of his feelings for me, his love of Io, and his hatred of River Crest. Granted, we never spoke about our families or backgrounds when we were together. I just thought he avoided the topic because it was obvious that I had no interest in talking about my broken home and black sheep status

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.
