Lena’s POV The second memory came back on the third day. I was in the training room alone. Early morning before anyone else was up. Working through the forms that kept coming back to my body in pieces, muscle memory reassembling itself like a puzzle that knew its own shape. I was moving through a sequence I hadn’t consciously learned and my body was doing it perfectly and then between one breath and the next I was somewhere else. Not here. Not this room.

My mother fell to the ground from the shove and could only stare at me in disbelief. The crowd below erupted into even greater fury. "Kill her!” "A heartless ingrate like her deserves to be torn apart!" The execution officer frowned in disgust and shoved me hard toward the Judgment Platform. I crashed hard onto the cold metal platform. Daniel dragged his crippled leg behind him as he made his way toward me, one painful step at a time. "Faith, the Memory Extraction System is still a prototype."

Bella's Pov "It seems like Bella's accident has taken away all of her past memories ." The doctor stated as he held something in his hands. "I can remember words." I blurted out loud. All eyes turned towards me and I could only look away. Having others look at me wasn't pleasant. "Sweetheart knowing words doesn't help if you can't remember anything." The man who was supposedly my father stated. "Why can I remember how to talk but nothing else?" I asked as I turned to the man who's hair was a color I didn't remember. My eyes watered as I realized that I was more confused than earlier.

"Memories from a realm you do not belong to are not yours. Every adventure you seek in the new world won't be in your possession once you go back to your world." Did this mean if time travel existed and that if she took part in it, she wouldn't remember anything from the new world? Like she would lose her memories? Thalia doubted it. She flipped through the book, inspecting it more cautiously. She wasn't exactly a superstitious person in any way, so there was no way all this was real. Shrugging her shoulders, she searched for a pen in her bag and recited the popular saying under her breath, "There's no harm in trying…"

Zane’s voice was low, urgent, like he already knew what storm he had unleashed. My head snapped toward him, my voice shaking as the words clawed out. “You remembered,” I whispered. “You remembered everything.” His hand shifted on the table, fingers curling into a fist. He didn’t deny it. He didn’t dare. “When? When did you regain your memory?” Zane didn’t answer. I slammed a fist on the table. “When, Zane?!” Realization hit me. “You—” My throat caught. “You never forgot, did you?”

“You don't remember any of our performances.” Jayden shook his head. “Unfortunately not,” he replied. “Damn,” Hunter muttered and spun around before he too got into the elevator. “I completely forgot.” “I'm starting to think that amnesia is contagious,” I said with a teasing smile. “I forget things around Jayden too.” Jean lifted his eyebrows. “That's probably because...”

“The original… stabilizer…” Z-04’s voice cut through sharply: “Z-01. The Alpha Core.” Elias turned slowly. “…That’s what Jay heard?” Jay gasped through clenched teeth. “YES—yes—inside my head—it said it was waking—it said—” His voice broke. “—it said it remembers YOU, Lena.” Alexander spun toward her. “Remembers her—HOW?!” Lena shook her head. “No—no, it’s not possible—I never saw anything like it—Kass never showed me anything like—”

Sylvia chuckled awkwardly and mentioned, “Something happened a short while ago and I lost my memory." She had explained this to so many people that she had the entire monologue memorized. Zach was understandably baffled by this. “Wait, you lost your memory?” “Yes, I forgot everything that happened the last nine years. It's not that I intentionally forgot who you were.” “I guess that makes sense, you look different from when I saw you the last time.” Zach sighed and sounded slightly disappointed, then he suddenly asked when a thought occurred to him, “Do you recall there being this man called Odell?”

“Someone had to say it.” More memories returned. With each one, something shifted within the room. A second cup appeared on the table. A shawl materialized on a chair. Writing reappeared on the first page of a book. The very world seemed to be remembering that Eliane belonged in it. Silas watched in fascination. “She erased the name first, then let memory collapse around the absence.” Darius looked at him. “Can we reverse it completely?” “If enough people remember.”
